Upcoming Craft Show!
I am going to be in a craft show in November. So I started to make some things for it now so I won't be going crazy come October. This is one of the sets I will be selling. I will make some masculine Birthday sets as well as some for Christmas and other occasions.
The party hat opens up in the back as a card. And the "cupcake" is a little satin trinket box that I covered with some Inque Boutique Isn't it Romantic paper, Prima flowers, a real candle, some Swarovski Crystals and a stamped "Happy Birthday to you", also from IB. It opens at the top, so you can put a pair of earrings or other small little gift inside. I got so much positive feedback for the little "Cupcake" that I will probably sell some of those separately also.
I also made these candles which I may sell as well! I will make a slot in the back so people will be able to put there own photos in there. This one has a photo of my son in it. It was taken this past May. His first time on the beach.
Hopefully some of these will sell! Wish me Luck!
Have a great day!

ScrapLove.com Summer Challenge ~ Week 3
This is this weeks layout for the Summer of Scraplovin Challenge over at ScrapLove.com. The winner will win some goodies as well as be a guest designer for the site. This weeks layout has to be on a transparency or acrylic background. It has to have journaling and the title has to be a name of a song. So I decided to use this adorable photo of my son which was taken in December 2006 for our family Christmas cards. It was his first photo session! He had so much fun playing in the "snow" that I had set up for the photos.
The transparency overlay is by Creative Imaginations. The chipboard letters are by ProvoCraft which I heat embossed with glitter EP by Ranger. The journaling stamps and snowflakes are by Inque Boutique. The mini Frame is by Melissa Frances. And the ribbons are from Michael's Arts and Crafts.
Have a great day!

Make Your Own Custom Bingo Cards!
I just love those cute little Bingo cards by Jenni Bowlin, but I don't have any. So I decided to make my own. I scanned a card, from one of those home edition Bingo games, then printed it out onto a piece of cardstock. (before I scanned it, I cut off the top where it had said BINGO) I then stamped the word Star and the little star in the center and then cut the entire card out. Now, you can instantly make your own Bingo cards with whatever word you would like! As long as it is 5 letters or less!!
So I decided that I wanted to make a little wall hanging with an old wooden frame that I had forever. So I distressed it a little bit and then added some goodies! I first cut a piece of patterned paper (My Mind's Eye,29th Street Market) to fit the inside of the frame. I then added the bingo card, photo of my son, some Inque Boutique stamps, felt heart and chipboard scroll as well as a button, crystals, sheer ribbon and some more chipboard stars. For the scroll and stars, I dabbed the pieces with my glue pad(Palette) then added some blue glitter EP (Ranger) and heat embossed with my heat gun. They look so pretty and shimmery!
To hang it, I strung some pearls on a piece of strong hemp cord and then attached onto back of frame with my glue gun.
I hope you like the finished frame. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

ScrapLove Summer Challenge ~ Week 2
I did this layout for the Summer of Scraplovin' 6 Week Challenge over at ScrapLove.com. This past weeks challenge was to make a layout using at least 3 non-scrapbook items from your Junk Drawer! How fun is that!! So here is what I used: a rubberband, whiteout, a screw, nut, washer, picture hanger, twine, garbage bag ties (the photo corners), notebook paper, binder clip and one of those link chains for keys. This is the first layout I have done without using any Inque Boutique products, but wait a minute!! I had to sneak something in there!! The little "boy" stamp hanging from the key chain is, you guessed it, an IB stamp!! Have a great weekend!! Hugs, Melissa

Christmas in July
Here is a card I made for a bloggers challange to use a certain sketch not necessarily a Christmas card, but what fun it is to make a Christmas card when it's 100 degrees outside! All stamps are by Inque Boutique (my fave) and so is the striped paper (how yummy is that!). And yes, it's a real candy cane. So not only does it look pretty but it's edible! Love that!! Added some ribbon, buttons, and some pieces of a holiday pick from Michael's. Have a great day and stay cool!! Hugs, Melissa
