I hope that you all had a very magical and wonderful Christmas! Our Christmas was awesome! It was our little one's 1st Christmas and our other son's 5th Christmas. It is so wonderful to see Christmas again through a child's eyes! No stress, just innocence and magic in their eyes!
This week at The Shabby Tea Room, the theme is "Shabby Chic Baby". You must use this gorgeous inspiration photo to create a card or project and you must use fabric somewhere on it too! How fun!I decided to make a little picture frame wrapped in fabric, a little photo holder made from a little wooden block, also draped in fabric and a card for the special little one with a handmade flower out of fabric. The frame is a $1 frame from Michael's, which I just starting wrapping it with a strip of fabric. Securing it with a hot glue gun. Simple! The photo holder is a wooden block I also picked up at Mike's for 99 cents. I cut out squared pieces of fabric and adhered it to the block, again with a hot glue gun. I then wound a white pipe cleaner around a small pencil to make the loops on the top to hold a photo. I then adhered it to the back of the block behind a piece of fabric. To finish it off, I added some trim and satin ribbon, a Melissa Frances rub-on, pp, and a heart button with pearl center. Simple!
Next for my card, I simple cut out some different size circles of fabric, sewed them together in the middle, added a heart button and pearl in the center and then attached it to some glittered wings. Added a satin bow, another heart button and a Melissa Frances rub-on. Simple!!This week's sponsor is I Did It Creations. The winner will receive some beautiful Digi Images to play with!

♥ Vintage Christmas ♥
When I saw this week's theme over at the City Crafter Challenge blog, I fell in love! "Vintage Christmas!" Love it! The inspiration photo is of Aspen, Co. Have you ever been? It is gorgeous there. Especially at Christmas time! All the old street lights decorated with garland and wreaths! It's like you are walking back in time in Bedford Falls ("It's a Wonderful Life", my favorite movie of all time!)
I decided to make a box with an old vintage style ornament on top. I removed the eye hook and string and then hot glued him to a wooden box. The box is decorated in some Making Memories Noel paper. I then added a Melissa Frances rub-on to the front of the box as well as some bottle brush trees drenched in Ice Crystal glitter, cotton balls for snow, scrunched seam binding ribbon, trim and a little handmade Xmas Trees for Sale sign.
Here is the beautiful inspiration photo of Aspen, CO. And wait until you see the prize up for grabs on the City Crafter blog? Oh, my!! Gorgeous!
I am also using the following other challenge for this:
~ Moxie Fab World: Glitter is Glam Challenge
Well, this will probably be my last post until after Christmas. I will be back then with my End of the year giveaway that you won't want to miss! Have a wonderful and magical Christmas!

♥ Gingerbread House ♥ TSTR #41
This week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room is called "Scandinavian Christmas". For my DT sample, I decided to make a "gingerbread house" out of a house shaped cookie tin. I first adhered some My Mind's Eye, Lost and Found paper onto the tin. I then added some white paint and glitter to the paper to give it a "frosty" look. I then added some Creative Imaginations Corrugated Kraft Cardstock for the roof, which I also added some white paint and glitter to it. I also added a Candy Cane as the chimney, ice crystals, punched MS snowflakes, ribbons, Melissa Frances Resin Lock and rub-on, some Jenni Bowlin butterflies drenched in snow glitter, snowflake and pearl trim, punched hearts, Maya Road chipboard heart and swirl, number stickers (my house #), and to finish it off, I added a gingerbread man cookie cutter which I adhered some more kraft cs, punched heart, bow, glitter and Melissa Frances key. (Click on photos for a better view!)
On the back of the tin, is a Gingerbread Man Cookie recipe. I purposely left the back unfinished, so you could see this.
For the card, I used some more kraft corrugated cs as my base, which I painted white and added snow glitter to. The super adorable gingerbread house, is a Digi Stamp from this week's sponsor, Digital Delights by Louby Loo. I colored it in with some Copics, then added more snow glitter and ice crystals to it. I finished off the card, with some ribbon, candy cane, punched snowflakes, piece of white felt, pearls and a rub-on, which I placed directly on the ribbon itself.
We would love for you all to come and play along with this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room. The winner will receive a $10 g/c to the Louby Lou store. All the Digi images are super adorable!!Here is this week's inspiration photo. Use the photo to create a card or project with the colors and patterns. Now don't forget to visit the rest of the Shabby Girls!

♥ I'm a Shabby Girl! ♥
I just found out this morning that I am now a member of The Shabby Tea Room Design Team! I have been a fan of this challenge blog since the first day it started! It has the most fun challenges and wonderful inspiration. Debbie and her design team are so wonderfully creative. It is an honor and thrill for me to be a part of it!
I made this Snow Globe for the Design Team Call.I wanted to make something quick and fun for this week's challenge, "Warm and Snuggly", which is to use this inspiration photo of stacked pieces of felt and to make a card or project with felt or fleece on it.
I made a quick and easy gift card holder. I first drew a stocking onto some white cardstock and cut it out. This is to be my base. I then cut out some red felt, the same size as the stocking and adhered it to the paper with a hot glue gun, only gluing the sides and bottom. You have to leave the top open for the card. I then cut out a white piece of fleece and adhered it to the top of the stocking. I then decorated it with some roping, white fleece heart, blue felt tag, K&Co. tag, Christmas pick, Melissa Frances rub-on and ribbon.
This only took minutes to make. So, they can be made quickly and easily when you need something fast. They can be filled with a gift card, money or even candy.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the Shabby Girls and to visit The Tea Room! Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

♥ It's all in the Tag(s)! ♥
It is always nice to give a present with a handmade tag on it. It just makes the present look so much prettier. With all the great challenges going on right now involving tags and of course Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas, I thought I would get a head start on my tags.
This fist tag uses some Pink Paislee paper, K&Co. trim and sticker, a Melissa Frances rub-on, seam binding ribbon and of course lots of ice crystals!
This tag uses some Bo Bunny paper, sheer wired ribbon, a sheer snowflake, MF pipe cleaner candy cane and rub-on, hemp cord and some more glitter.
This last tag is made suing a wooden snowflake, pearls, piece of a pick, K&Co. sticker, seam binding ribbon and yup, you guessed it, lots of glitter!
All the tags were made with this week's sketch over at the 2Sketches4You blog.
I also used the following challenges for them:
~ Crafty Cardmakers: Spotlight on Tags
~ Paper Play Challenges: Holiday Tag
Have a wonderful weekend!!

♥ Little Ice Skater Christmas Box ♥
I love to make decorative boxes for either display or to give as gifts and they are even better when you use recycled or repurposed items. I made this little gift box out of a paper mache box that I had laying around for awhile which I covered in some papers, crocheted ribbon and pink trim. On the top of the box I glued an ornament, which I removed the string from it, and then for my "snow" I used some cotton balls which I spread out and then added some glitter and ice crystals to it.
I finished it off with a satin pink bow, tag, bakers twine, Melissa Frances rub-on and a jingle bell that fell off of an old ornament. I painted it white and then sprinkled on some glitter.
I used the following challenges:
~ Papercraft Star: "Green Holidays" - use recycled or repurposed item(s)
~ The Shabby Tea Room: "'Tis the Season" - Holiday Gift item
~ Crafty Cardmakers: "Spotlight on Tags"
~ City Crafter: "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, let it Snow"
~ Really Reasonable Ribbons: Anything but a card, Winter Theme
~ Simon Says Stamp and Show: Holiday Greeting
~ Paper Play Challenges: Holiday Tag
The winner of my Snow Globe giveaway is Sarah Tedesco. Sarah please email me your snail mail addy! I will be having my End of the Year Giveaway real soon!
Lastly, last Sunday was our son Santino's Christening It was a beautiful day filled with love and family and friends. Here is a pic I put in the little ornament frames I used as favors.
Have a wonderful day!
