♥ Love grows in happy homes. ♥

Happy Sunday everyone! I love this saying, "Love grows in happy homes". It is from the "LOVE lives here" set from Papertrey Ink. I ♥ this set! I love everything about it! The cute little houses, hearts and sentiments. So when I saw Melissa Phillips' (I ♥ her too!) recent Creative Mint challenge, I thought this stamp set would be perfect for it!
I also used some Prima and The Girls' Paperie papers on it,as well as a Maya Road Kraft envelope, a handmade stick pin, buttons, pearl heart, ribbon and trim.
These are the beautiful inspiration photos:
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day!

♥ Love gives us a Fairytale... ♥

I love this Free printable sentiment that Papertrey Ink offered a couple of weeks back. "Once in a while in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairytale." So beautiful! Perfect for a wedding card, don't ya think?
I made this card for the new challenge over at The Kraft Journal. It is to use "bling" on your card along with Kraft paper. I love using Kraft paper, I don't know why I don't use it more often! Anywho, my card uses some beautiful paper from The Girls' Paperie, a Prima flower that I inked purple and added glitter to, a Prima crystal swirl, punched Martha Stewart butterflies. I first punched 2 in pink cs to use as my base, then I punched 2 in Kraft cs and added more bling to them. Finally, I finished it off with some pearls and pink satin ribbon.
I was also inspired by the following challenges:

~ Bearly Mine: Ribbon and Pearls
~ Truly Scrumptious: Swirls and Pearls
~ The Creative Cottage: Fabulous Florals
~ Ooh La La Creations: Pink, Pink and more Pink

Don't forget to enter into my giveaway HERE! Good luck!

Have a great weekend!

♥ Every flower that ever bloomed... ♥

Here is my second card for the day! I created this one using this week's sketch over at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge blog, Priscillastyles. (Hi Priscilla! I missed ya!) And I also used the fabulous color challenge from the Play Date Cafe. Not my usual color choice and I was a little unsure of them at first. But that's what challenges are for, right? And, I must admit, I really like the colors together!
I used some papers by Fancy Pants Designs and October Afternoon, as well as a Melissa Farcnes rub-on, Prima flower, orange ribbon, pearls and that beautiful green vine is from Flourish with a Bling.
Here is the fun MM Sketch:
And the gorgeous Play Date Cafe Inspiration photo:

♥ My Sweet Cupcake ♥ {A Ribbon of Photos}

This week I am the Guest Sweetie (GDT) over at {Cupcake Inspirations}. Unfortunately my flourishes to work with for my project didn't get here in time for the start of the challenge. (Of course, they arrived the following day!:) This is the beautiful inspiration photo for the challenge.
I decided to make a little keepsake cupcake filled with lots of love, photos, flourishes and of course those yummy colors! I first inked up a white paper doily with some silver ink. Covered a small round paper mache' box with purple and orange cardstock. Then adhered the doily to the bottom and sides of the box. I then cut a round styrofoam ball in half, inked it with my green ink pad and then covered it with some white lace also inked green. I then printed out some photos of my 2 cupcakes in Sepia and adhered them to chipboard pieces. I then "linked" them together with some orange ribbon and my hot glue gun. To finish everything off, I added some Prima flowers to the top of the styrofoam as well as the gorgeous flourishes from Flourish with a Bling, which is this week's sponsor over at {Cupcake Inspirations}. I used Jack Vine in Forest Green and Jasmine Puffy Flourish in Lilac, which I cut up to add to the cupcake. Oh, they are so pretty! I then added an orange bow and a MF rub-on sentiment.
Because it is a little box, you can give a little something inside of it too. It's like a gift within a gift! I will probably give it to my Mom for Mother's Day with a little "something" inside the box. And I will probably "glam up" the photos too with some embellies! ;)

Have a wonderful day!!

♥ Family Love Cottage ♥ {a treasured keepsake}

Altered tin...distressing...love...family...paper...glitter...shabbiness. I'm in heaven! All my favorite things wrapped up in one sweet little keepsake. I had a couple of these house shaped cookie tins left over from Christmas (like the one I used for my Gingerbread House) and wanted to make something with it that I could keep out all year long. So this is what I came up with!
I distressed some beautiful papers by Echo Park, October Afternoon and Making Memories with my paper distresser and brown inks along all my edges. Adhered them to my house. Added some Prima flowers, crystals, old gem charm, ribbons, chipboard, photo of my two babies which I used the old time look on it, Melissa Frances rub-ons and keyhole, glitter, lace, ribbons, pearls, punched MS butterflies and hearts which I also distressed, a little glass bottle filled with glitter, pearls and crystals and finally the little rose bud on the front left hand corner is from my niece's wedding back in November. I hung it upside down for awhile to dry it out and then I simply but carefully, coated it with some Aileen's glue and to my amazement, it is holding up!

My local scrapbook store (about 20 minutes away), Paper Wings started their own challenge blog, Random Flutters from Paper Wings. Their latest challenge is to use Distressing on your project. That challenge, {Time to Get Distressed!} is what inspired me to make this project.

I was also inspired by this gorgeous inspiration photo (Isn't it just yummy!) It is from this week's challenge from the Play Date Cafe!

And the following challenge(s):

~ Flutter by Wednesday: 3 hearts and a butterfly
~ Ellephantastic Challenge Blog: #23 Distressing with a LOVE theme

Well, back to taking it easy! Hubby and I have had a stomach virus for the past couple of days! YUCK! Not fun!

Have a wonderful day!
