I was supposed to be published, for the first time, no less, in the March issue of CardMaker Magazine! And I had everyone going crazy to buy a copy! And guess what?? I'm not in it!! I am so upset! And I feel stupid telling everyone I was going to be published finally!! Oh well!! Next time I won't say anything until I actually see it!! :(
Anyway, here is a card I did for today's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast. We had to use Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss(olive)and Mustard. I don't have these exact colors, so I improvised! I used paper from My Mind's Eye, Bazzill cardstock and stamps from October Afternoon and Studio G. Just a fun little card for a new homeowner!
Have a great night and thanks for listening to me Rant!! :) I will have some good news tomorrow though!! ;)
Hugs,
I hate that you weren't in the magazine! I can only imagine how disappointed you were. On the flip side, I absolutely love your card! I would case you anyday.

ReplyDeleteMelissa, your card is gorgeous! You are one very gifted lady, I can see why they wanted to publish you in their magazine.
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling :)
This is adorable! I am so sorry about your publishing woes. I'm sure you will be published soon.
ReplyDeleteHow RUDE that you weren't in the magazine! Did you find out why? It's one of my life goals to be published and if they told me I was going to be then took it away...I might have to go a little crazy on their *rear ends*.
ReplyDeleteWell you got pretty close so I'm sure it's coming soon! :) :) :)

Hang in there Melissa. You're a great talent. Magazines use your work when you least expect it. Just let us know when it happens so that we can look for the issue.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this cute house Melissa!! You really are so great about making unexpected shaped cards--LOVE THAT! Now, where exactly is this card folded?? It's such a CUTE card!
ReplyDeleteand I already emailed commenting about your "bummer" news :( But I'm excited to see what you're gonna post for tomorrow! :)
Super cute card....I bet they saved it for something else! I have 3 pending and I am just crossing my fingers they go in in the end!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be published soon I just know it.
ReplyDeleteWith the talent you have, as evidenced by this beautiful card and others you've posted on this blog, I'm sure that there will be no shortage of published works in your future!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that you weren't in the mag. Do you think you will be in the next issue? Hope so. Love your house to bits. Kim
ReplyDeleteThis is darling Melissa! I LOVE the little dingle balls on the roof ~ too cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't be bummed about your card not being in there, I was supposed to have 2 and only 1 (which I feel lucky about) was in there. The bad thing is that I told the lady from the stamp company, Serendipity, that I had a card in the new CardMaker using their stamps and then it didn't even get in there!!!! ACK!!!! Lindsey has had that happen to her as well! It still stinks although, as beautiful as your work is, it will just be a matter of time until we see you in a publication!!!
sorry that you weren't published. but i bet you will be soon. Your work is too good to not be published. Just let us know when!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you weren't published. What were they thinking? I subscribe to them and your little house card is much cuter than a lot of the other stuff I see in there!! I am sure you will be published soon. Hugs
ReplyDeleteAwwww...sorry about the publishing. Don't worry, I don't have any doubts that you'll be published SOON!!! Your work is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a bummer about not getting published! Your work is great...it's only a matter of time before all the magazines realize that :)
ReplyDeleteYour house card is super cute :)
