Those are my 2 favorite occasions to make things for! To celebrate the birth of one's life, new and old! I have been "addicted" to all the daily challenges over at SCS! So here are a few projects I have done in the past couple of days using their challenges.
This was part of yesterday's "Ways to Use It" challenge(to use stamps along with stickers) and a "Try a New Technique" (Round Top Box) challenge from a few weeks back. I have posted a couple of these boxes before and they are just the easiest and most fun to make! And when I say easy, I mean easy!! If you can use a pair of scissors, then you can make this! Just go HERE for the template! I used some stamps by Autumn Leaves and some stickers by K&Co. I also filled the box with some faux Spanish Moss and mini string pearls.
This card was made also using yesterday's Stamps and Stickers challenge. I stamped the Birthday Cake (Inque Boutique) onto some of that yummy Dream Street Designs DP I had left over from my M2R March Kit and then I stamped it again onto some pink and green CS. I cut them out and paper pieced them over the cake for a little added dimension. I then added some Pink Poinsettia and Celery Shimmerz and glitter over them. The stickers are by K&Co. and the Paper Studio.
And lastly, this card was done using the Sketch challenge from this past Wednesday. I used some more Dream Street DP and a House-Mouse stamp called Birthday Cupcake. Aren't those mice just the cutest? The "Another Yummy Birthday" stamp is by Inque Boutique. I used Copics to color in the image. I am just starting to get into using Copics. I only have about 30 colors and hope to get more soon. I also hope to be able to use them the way everyone else does!! hehe But I'm learning!!
My brother-in-law just got operated on yesterday. Him and my sis live in a suburb of Memphis. So it stinks that I can't be there for them! He had to get an operation on his nose and his tonsils removed! Ouch! They say when you are older, it is very painful! But hopefully he won't have much pain! Hope you have a speedy recovery Tim!
And, I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!!
Hugs,
All of your cards are fantastic Melissa!!!
