I hope you all had a very special Mother's Day! I had a wonderful day. My hubby and our 4 yr old son took me out to lunch (LOVE the Cheesecake Factory! Yummy! Have you ever been?) then we went shopping all day and was home to relax by 6:30. I can't believe that next year on Mommy's Day, I will have 2 sons to Love! I love being a Mom and never take anything for granted! Children are a gift from God. Thank you for my gifts!!
I love chipboard too! I can't get enough of it! So when I saw this week's Chipboard Challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room, I was all over it!! I made 4 projects!
This first card uses today's sketch challenge over at SCS. I used those gorgeous papers by Prima's Raspberry Tea and Flights of Fancy lines and their chipboard pieces. I also used some Melissa Frances rub-ons, Hero Arts pearls and satin ribbon.
Here is another take on the above card only using a different layout.
This is a wall hanging I made using lots of chipboard pieces. It is also for the Sir Stampalot blog May challenge, Butterflies and Blossoms! The base is a new large scalloped edge plaque by Melissa Frances. I also used some new paper by her on the base as well as some Webster's Pages paper. The chipboard is by Scenic Route and Maya Road. The large heart frame is some Scenic Route chipboard which I left open at the top so I can change the pic in it. I want to eventually put in a pic of my son holding the new baby once he is born.
And finally, here is a frame I made with some more Maya Road chipboard. The large tree is a chipboard album frame which I covered in some Cosmo Cricket {Mr. Campy, Nature Walk} and some October Afternoon {Thrift Shop, Good Junk} papers. I also used some chipboard hearts, wooden frame and fence, OA Fly A Kite stickers and Doodlebug Designs cut outs. As you can see there is no pic in the frame yet. My son has a kite that he wants to fly, but I have been waiting for the perfect day to do it! So when he does, I'll put that pic in there. On 1 of the clouds on the top of the frame there is a journaling spot, so I can put the date of the pic in there.
I will be back this week with a FUN, FUN, FUN Giveaway that you won't want to miss!! Stay tuned!! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs....
