♥ The Sweet Days of Summer ♥

That is the name of this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room...The Sweet Days of Summer. It is to create a card and/or project using a handmade flower and the colors pink, peach, green and a neutral.

For my card, I used an adorable digi image called "Owl Always Love You" by our sponsor Paper Pretties. I colored it in with some pink, peach and green Copics. I then added some twine to act as branches. I used some beautiful papers by , as well as some buttons, lace which I inked peach, ribbon and my flower and leaves were made out of sheer and cotton fabric.

This week's challenge winner will receive this beautiful Clear Stamp Set by Paper Pretties! It is called Give a Hoot!

  1. Melissa, you sound just like me a few years back. I never wanted my two boys to grow up either! Now that they're 16 and 20, I realize there is something wonderful that comes with each passing year. If we could only make these younger years last a bit longer. . . Love your beautiful card with that gorgeous flower! Enjoy those sweet boys of yours!

And yes, I wish I could turn back time and keep my boys little! They are 20 and 21 this fall, in college and half way out of the nest already. Time sure does pass quickly ... savor every precious second with your babies!

  8. Oh I know how you feel my boys are 43 and 31 their childhoods went by far to quickly and now the grandchildren seem to be in some sort of a race to get older as well. Enjoy them while you can.

  9. Melissa: For some strange reason, my computer will not connect securely witg Shabby Tea Room. I get an "error" page every time. It bums me out cuz I just LOVE this template. I make houses for my annual church Christmas Boutique, and it would save me a fortune to have the pattern for this adorable house you have made. Awesome job. You've inspired me. I might just need to buy the template since I can't connect to enter the contest. Thanks for posting such a beautiful and inspiration piece (at least for me). LOVE IT!
    Blessings,
    Karen
