♥ Homespun Fall ♥

Happy Halloween everyone!! Hope you are having a 'spook'tacular day!! :)

This week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room is called "Homespun Fall". What a lovely title! The challenge is to create a card and/or project inspired by the inspiration photo with a fall scene.

When I first saw this adorable little owl in Michael's I knew I had to have him. Not sure what I wanted to do with him at first. Then as I was starting to think of something for this week's challenge I thought of him! I first made a tree out of some wooden spools, twine, paint, punched leaves and some acrylic branches and mini flowers, for him to rest upon.

I adhered some gorgeous Prima papers, the Printery Line, to an oval wooden box...added the tree and owl and then a little wire pumpkin. To complete it, I added a sentiment that I printed out of MS Word and the best for last...some gorgeous seam binding ribbons.

The seam binding ribbon is from our own Debbie's beautiful Etsy shop called "Simple Treasures". It is filled with loads of the most beautiful seam binding ribbon out there! And it is fabulously priced too!! ;) The winner of this week's challenge will win 15 yards of your choice of ribbon!!

Here is the lovely inspiration photo!
