♥ Pumpkins...Flowers....Harvest ♥

The weather and temps have been wonderful here lately. Low 70's during the day....cooler at night. Pumpkins, Cornstalks and Bales of Hay are everywhere! Autumn is finally here!! Yay! My favorite time of the year!

This week's theme at The Shabby Tea Room is called "Pumpkin Garden". Isn't that a lovely title! For the challenge you must use the colors in the inspiration photo (see below) and also use a dry embossed element.

I chose this beautiful Daisy and Swirl Embossing folder to use on my base card. After I embossed it, I ran some pastel chalks over the raised areas for more effect. I also used a Dots folder for the darker orange cardstock. The gorgeous flowers are by Prima and are called Gillian Cider. And the beautiful Flower stamp is by Inkadinkado.

To finish it off I added a raffia bow, button, sentiment tag, ribbon, Liquid Pearls and lots of glitter!

The winner of this week's challenge will win a $15 Gift Certificate to our sponsor Classy Cards 'n Such! They have a wonderful selection of all kinds of goodies!! And the owner Beverly is really sweet too! Check them out!!

Here is the beautiful inspiration photo~

  1. Well done Melissa, so glad you made it to the next round. I have of course been voting each time for you. I love your front door, looks amazing. Halloween isnt a massive thing here in Northern Ireland. Kids still go around the doors and some houses put up decorations but it certainly isnt celebrated as much as I would love for it to be. I love your card, it is really gorgeous. I love the flowers and the embossing is stunning. Lee xx
