Happy sweet Monday everyone! I hope you all are refreshed after a beautiful weekend! I am in Atlantic City at the moment celebrating with hubby on our 10th Wedding Anniversary. How time flies! Speaking of how time flies...Easter is right around the corner! A little early this year! So it's about time to get started on some Easter cards, decor and gifts! This month's Crafty Secrets DT challenge is to create something for Easter and Spring. Love this time of year with all of the cute images and pretty pastels!
I decided to make a fun Mason Jar Easter decoration. It can actually be used to fill with candy or put a battery operated candle inside of it. I did both! I put some pastel candy eggs on the bottom and a candle on top of them. It looks really cute glowing at night on my kitchen island. How did I make it? Easy peasy!
I used a really large size mason jar that you can find in Michael's. They are only like $3.29 or so. It is huge! But you can use any size jar. I first wrapped the center of the jar with some burlap. I frayed the edges of the burlap by just pulling out a few strings. I then wrapped some twine around the center of the burlap and then adhered one of the cute Victorian Floral Easter Eggs in the center. Make sure to check this set out! It is absolutely gorgeous! I also added a Easter pick behind the Egg.
On the lid, I hot glued some greenery to the lid and then added some pastel eggs on top. The eggs are also from the Victorian Floral Easter Eggs Set as well. I added some glitter to them before adhering them. The Happy Easter is from the Spring Chicks Digi Stamp Set.
I also made a card with the Victorian Floral Easter Eggs as well. The sentiment is from the Springtime Love Digi Stamp Set.
Now onto the really fun part for all of you! It's time for the Crafty Secrets March Linky Party!! Just link any type creation using any Crafty Secrets product(s) and you could win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Crafty Vintage Girl Shop! Just visit the Heartwarming Vintage Blog to link your creation! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!! Good luck everyone! I'll be showcasing more Easter/Spring Crafty Secrets creations throughout the month of March.
Don't forget to check out the amazingly gorgeous creations from the rest of the Crafty Secrets DT !!
