Woot! Woot! It's Friday!! We plan on laying by the pool and that's about it! Love these kind of weekends!! What are your plans??
I have been wanting to make my own iphone case for awhile now. I wanted a certain iphone case on Etsy that was made with white wood and had a teal color at the top but I was tired of paying $25 and up for cases! So using a simple $1 case and stamps, paper, glitter, pearls and gems that I already had, I finally made it! And since it was so cheap (and easy!) to make, I can now make one whenever I want! :)
I simply traced the cover onto a piece of the White Woodgrain paper from the Base Coat III Paper Pack by Kaiser. Trimmed it out and then double stamped the butterflies onto it. The Butterflies and the "Love" are from the Butterfly Friends Clear Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp. I then added some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the top of the paper using the Mini Round Blending Tool. After it was dry, I then added some Glossy Accents over the ink and then some White Glitter. Then using some Aleene's Glue, I adhered the paper to the case.
Then I adhered some Recollections Gem Strips that I picked up in Michael's to the sides on the outside of the case. They have a rubbery feel to them, so it's perfect for the case because it makes the case non-slippery when holding it! I then finished it off by adding some pearls around the camera cut out and over the butterflies and a Prima Crystal Heart near the stamped Love. Easy Peasy, FUN and Cheap to make!! ;)
Before I go, I thought I'd share my front porch with you! I love how much the flowers are blooming even with it being so HOT here! That little John Deere wagon I picked up on Craigslist for FREE! I leave it there all year long and change it up for the seasons/holidays.
And along the wall in the front I simply purchased some pretty hanging baskets and removed the hangers and just placed them along the wall with a plastic tray underneath. They look really pretty draping over the side of the wall! :)
Enjoy your weekend!!
