Some Dirty Things!

The SCS July Dirty Dozen/Fan Club is now Open! If you are a member, stop by and say Hi! We have a fun gallery and theme this month for you! If you are not a member and would like to join, just go HERE for info! Here are a couple of projects I had made for the April DD gallery. The theme was "Going Green".

This was one of those wooden ribbon spool holder thingys! I decided to make a Carousel out of it. A friend of mine had asked me to make a Cake Topper for her daughter's 1st Birthday party. The theme was the circus. So this is what I came up with. (Click on photos for a better view) I used a carousel horse stamp by Whipper Snapper Designs, lots of ribbon, glitter, spanish moss, a compact disc, Prima flowers, pearls and some Shimmerz Paint. My friend and her daughter just loved it. It is now displayed nicely in her room.

This next one is so fun and easy! It is a gift card holder made out of a paper towel holder. You know the cardboard tube in the middle! I cut a piece of the cardboard and then stitched the bottom closed. I then adhered some Pink Paislee paper, gingham ribbon, ball trim, stick pin and some Inque Boutique and Studio G stamps.

And lastly, this card was made with some shiny packaging I had saved from one of my son's toys. I made some seed paper simply by die cutting some scalloped circles using my Nesties and placing some seeds in the center and then sewing them shut. The recipient of the card would then remove the packet from the card and place it in the soil to grow. Well, I didn't know who to give the card to, so I just planted it myself! hehe And guess what, it WORKED!! Here is the pic to prove it. Beautiful Zinnias that I cut daily and put in a vase in my downstairs guest bathroom!

Well, I hope you enjoyed some of my projects! Have a great day! I will be back later today with my Giveaway Winner!!

Hugs,
