♥ Simon Says...Tie it Up! ♥

It's time for a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This weeks challenge is...TIE IT UP! We want to see ribbon, twine, string, etc!

This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by Paper Smooches! For my card, I am using the Butterfly Duet Dies by Paper Smooches. Love the sizes of these pretty butterflies!

I also used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies, some May Arts Natural Twine, Doodlebug White Doilies, Mini Clothespin and White Opal Liquid Pearls. The papers are from the Prima 6x6 Butterfly Paper Pack. And the stamped 'Thank you' is from the Simon Says Big Scripty Greetings Clear Stamp Set. Love that set!

♥ Shabby Chic Tag ♥

Hi there! Stopping in today with a shabby tag and tutorial! It was made with some beautiful collages from the iralamija shop! Have I mentioned before, I could use these papers and images every day?! So pretty!!

I first started by re-sizing the Ledger Tags Collage. This gorgeous collage sheet actually comes with 10 different images that all fit onto an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock when printed and each tag measures approx. 4" x 2". But I wanted my tag to be bigger. So I re-sized it using photo editing software and it comes out looking like this. Most of the tags will be "off" the page. (Sorry I photographed it after I cut it out already. But you get the picture. Right? :)

Next, cut out the tag, trim the top by cutting off the 2 corners and distress the edges with a distresser tool.

Adhere seam binding ribbon and ruler trim to bottom of tag.

Next print out the Vintage Jars Collage Sheets. This collage comes with 9 adorable jar images and another sheet of embellishments. Trim out jar and embellishments.

Add embellishments to jar and then add a layer of Glossy Accents over the jar for a glassy look.

Next, print out and trim the sentiment from the Expressions No. 2 Collage.

Punch a hole onto top of tag for ribbon and twine. Add jar image, rose and sentiment.

Makes a pretty tag to adhere to a gift bag, mason jar filled with goodies or you can even adhere to a card front.

♥ Simon Says Stamp Kid's Summer Vacation Challenge ♥

                  

 Hi all and welcome to another of our annual Simon Says Stamp Summer Vacation Kid's Challenge where we host a special challenge dedicated to our young designers.

                  ANYTHING GOES 

It is time for all you crafters to let your children loose in your crafty corners for a few hours. Just close your eyes and set them free to explore their creativity :-) You are allowed to hide your Copic Markers and extra special papers and you are allowed to help just a little bit if necessary, but we really want the children to 'DO IT' themselves as much as possible :-)

This challenge is open to all children aged between 2 and 16 inclusive.

We have not 1, not 2 but  3 surprise parcels of crafty goodies, hand picked by Simon!

                                                                                                                                                      

For this challenge we have a very special Junior Design Team who I am sure you will agree have done an excellent job. 

Here is a card my son, Antonio, made using the Simon Says Stamp August 2015 Card Kit, Summer Sunshine.

I like the talking fish! :)
