♥ Sew Thankful ♥
I recently came across a wonderful International Challenge blog called Let's Get Shabby. They have some great challenges and a talented design team from all across the world. the latest challenge is called "Raiding your Sewing Boxes". How fun is that! You have to make a project with 3 items from your sewing box, including a pin.I decided to make a wall hanging for the sewing area of my Craft Studio. I first cut a piece of burlap into a heart shape. I then painted a small embroidery hoop white and attached it over the burlap. I then added a piece of measuring tape as my hanger. I then painted a wooden ribbon spool white, added some bakers twine to it as well as a sewing needle and then I made some crystal and pearl pins and adhered them to the center of the spool. I then finished it off with some ribbons, buttons and hand written sentiment on some Girls Paperie paper. So from my "sewing box", I used the measuring tape, spool, sewing needle, burlap, pins and buttons. How fun!!I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Tomorrow is my niece's wedding! I am so excited and happy for her! Our son Antonio is the Ring Bearer! He looks so cute in his Tux! I'll have pics on Monday!! :)
