♥ Sending some {Shabby} Love... ♥

... at Christmas! In July!! I made this for this week's Shabby Tea Room challenge. It is called "Relax and Enjoy" and it is to use the inspiration photo's colors, which are yellow, pink, green and neutral(s).

And the Shabby Girls got to play with some gorgeous stamps from our sponsor this week, JustRite! I chose this beautiful stamp set called "Deck the Halls". I love the large and small ornaments in this set as well as the beautiful sentiments.

I also used some lovely papers by Bo Bunny, My Mind's Eye and GCD Studios as well as some Copics, lots of glitter, pink satin ribbon, trim, Liquid Pearls, a button and some twine.

♥ Christmas in July! ♥

Hi everyone! I'm sorry that I have been missing in action lately! I first took a week off to prepare for our annual 4th of July party, then needed to take a couple of days off to recover from our 4th of July party! hehe My "baby bump" has now turned into a "baby mountain"! So I am easily tired now heading into the home stretch! Only a little more than a month to go! Yippee! So I haven't felt much like doing any crafting lately. I hope you forgive me! {wink} Well, until yesterday anyway! I must admit, I went up to my craft studio and instantly caught the bug! I then saw this week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room blog and that was all I needed! This week's theme challenge is "Christmas in July". My 2 favorite things! Summer and Christmas! (even though I like the cold and snow for Christmas!)So I decided to make 2 cards for this fun theme! The first one is a Snow Globe card. They are so fun to make! I used some Webster's Pages papers from their 6"x6" Holiday Collection pack, some October Afternoon cardstock stickers, Martha Stewart punched snowflakes, pearls, gingham ribbon, white ball trim and of course, lots of glitter!My next card is a Gift Card holder. So easy to make. Just mat a piece of paper onto a slightly larger piece of paper using an adhesive on the bottom and sides. Take a circle punch and punch half a circle onto the top left hand corner of the smaller piece of paper. Instant gift card holder! I used some more Webster's Pages papers, graphic 45 tags, Hero Arts stamp, MS punched branches, more glitter, Debbie's hand dyed seam binding (love it!), red ribbon and hemp cord.I will be back very soon with my Blogaversary Giveaway! I can't believe it's been 2 years since I started my blog! Since I will be taking a break after the baby is born at the end of August (I will post pics though!) I wanted to give away a very special gift to my friends! Hopefully you will all stick around until I come back! And don't forget, I will be giving away a CRICUT CAKE!! Woo-Hoo!! ♥ Summer harvest ♥

Summer...my favorite time of year. Family bbq's...swimming...kites flying...butterflies and hummingbirds and one of my favorite summer things to do...gardening. I love to plant flowers, herbs and vegetables and watch them grow. Ahh, nothing beats some fresh tomatoes and basil with olive oil. Or the beautiful colors of zinnias, impatiens and petunias. Pure summer sweetness!This card was made using this week's fabulous sketch over at the Card Patterns blog as well as being inspired by this week's theme challenge, Summer Fun over at The Shabby Tea Room.I used some gorgeous papers from Webster's Pages, Nature's Storybook collection. As well as some punched MS butterflies, Hero Arts pearls, Wright's ribbon and trim and a Melissa Frances rub-on.

♥ Love Frame ♥ Hearts, buttons and bows!

How can you not ♥ this week's challenges at The Shabby Tea Room and the City Crafter Challenge blogs?!! It's all about hearts, buttons and bows! The Shabby Tea Room challenge is to make a card/project using hearts. Done! And the City Crafter challenge is to use buttons and bows on your project. Done!!I made a fun frame using one of those $1 wooden frames at Michael's, some Cosmo Cricket, My Mind's Eye and October Afternoon papers, Maya Road chipboard hearts, seam binding ribbon, Hero Arts Red pearl hearts, white paint, Melissa Frances rub-ons, glitter and buttons. I love that pic of my son. It was taken May of 09'.I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

♥ Dear to my Heart ♥ A Shabby Tea Room Challenge

This week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is to use a heart as the focal point on your card/project. I decided to make a Valentine's card. Hey, at least I'll be ready for next year!! hehe And a BIG thank you to Debbie and her awesome DT for choosing me as your Week #9 Winner a couple of weeks ago! I really appreciated that! :) I ♥ the Shabby Tea Room! I used some paper by My Mind's Eye, from the Be Loved line. I also used a Maya Road chipboard heart and circle, Melissa Frances Rub-Ons, White Pearl Corsage Pin, Hero Arts Adhesive Red Heart, grosgrain ribbon and some Ultra Fine White Glitter. I'm sure by the time the week is over, I will make another card with this fun challenge! You know me likey my ♥♥♥♥♥'s!!

Now onto my Giveaway Winner! Sorry I am posting this so late. It takes quite awhile to print out all those names and cut them up!! My 4 yr old son chose the following name out of a large bowl!!

Glittery Fun....♥ MOJO137 and Shabby Tea Room ♥

Here are 2 cards that I made for some awesome challenges this week. First I used this week's sketch on the Mojo Monday blog and this week's challenge at the Shabby Tea Room was to use glitter. No problem with that one here!! Here is the sketch.
My first card uses some gorgeous papers by Webster's Pages from the Life's Portrait line. I also used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Melissa Frances rub-ons, Hero Arts pearls and lots of glitter.
For this card, I used some October Afternoon Report card paper, part of a 4th of July pick from Michael's, which I added some glue and glitter to the stars, a Melissa Frances rub-on, a wooden and metal stars and gingham ribbon. I also used some Labels Three dies from Spellbinders.
