♥ Grandmas are moms... ♥ {MOJO331}

...with lots of Frosting. What a cute sentiment! This one definitely applies to my mom! My mom is the sweetest mom and grandma there is! No matter what, she is ALWAYS there for her children and grandchildren. Mom, I love you so much! ♥

I haven't had much time lately to participate in many challenges as I would like to, but as soon as I saw this weeks sketch over at the Mojo Monday Challenge Blog, I knew I had to use it! And I also knew I had to use the adorable Homemade With Love line by Carta Bella for it. Such a sweet line! Love the yummy pastel papers!

That sentiment that I cut from one of the papers is just too cute! This would make a sweet Valentine's Day card for a Grandma from the grandchildren! ;) I added a little somethin', somethin' to the card to give it a little sparkle...sequins and Liquid Pearls.

Here is the fabulous Mojo Monday Sketch! Love it!!

Today we lost an 8 year old in my family. A cousin on my dad's side. He was diagnosed with brain cancer when he was only 8 months old. The doctors said he would only live for a few days numerous times over the years. But he was so strong and kept on pushing. He was stronger than most adults I know. He was 1 month and 1 day away from his 9th birthday. He was born on the same day as my son, just a year earlier. So while he will be dearly missed, his suffering and pain is gone. So please say a prayer for Shawn and his family. Heaven has a new angel.

♥ Hug and kiss your children. ♥

hugs...

♥ Simon Says...Travel/Cityscapes! ♥

Hi everyone! Today is a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! This time we want to see anything travel related or a cityscape! Get your thinking caps on!! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

For my card, I used the new Well Traveled line by Carta Bella. I used the Well Traveled 6x6 Paper Pad, Chipboard and Layered Stickers. Love the colors in this line! There are a lot of pretty papers too that can be used for things other than a travel related creation!

To finish off my card, I also used a Prima Wooden Travel Icon (the plane) which I inked the edges brown and the smothered it in chunky white glitter and a Prima Crystal Heart. I also used some seam binding ribbon and twine. The button on the bow is chipboard from the line also.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

♥ Before I go, let me just say that my heart goes out to all of the helpless and innocent victims of that horrible bombing in Boston! My thoughts and prayers are with all of the victims and their families. Especially that poor little boy and the other 2 people who lost their lives, way too early! What is this world coming too? You can't send your kids to watch a marathon or even are afraid to send them to school! Very sad! I hope whoever did it is brought to justice severely!

 big hugs to you all....

♥ Simon Says...Dawny's Sketch! ♥

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! This week we have a fabulous sketch for you from our very own Dawny! She just does the best sketches!! (see below) We hope you have fun with it!!

This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by Stamps Happen! You don't have to use them on your card, but if you have any, we would love to see them! I chose this adorable stamp called "Let it Snow Man!" So cute! I stamped him onto white cardstock with black ink and then colored in his hat, gloves and carrot nose with some Copics and then added lots of chunky glitter to him.

The adorable papers are by Carta Bella from the Winter Fun 12x12 Collection Kit. It has so many adorable Winter themed papers and stickers. I also used a Maya Road Chipboard Snowflake and lots of White Opal Liquid Pearls.

And don't forget, Heidi will generously give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

Here is the fabulous sketch!
