Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge Gone BAD!!

Well, I made a card the other day for today's Jacksonbelle DT Challenge, uploaded it to my blog scheduled for today and guess what it was next weeks challenge that I had made a card for!! So then late last night I made another card for today's challenge, an Easter/Spring Card. And guess what happened then?!! This morning right before I was going to photograph my card, I spilled my coffee all over it! Ruined!! So I just scrambled really fast and made this simple egg card!! Woo! Not a great start to the day!!

I used some yummy Pink Paislee, Office Lingo, for the egg, some Daisy D Rhinestones and an Imaginisce stamp. All available, now, at the Jacksonbelle Store. I was going for the Faberge Egg look, but couldn't gather up my Mojo this disastrous morning! LOL

We would love for you to play along too, just use keyword JBE047 when uploading to SCS or you can link your card to the Jacksonbelle blog! Don't forget to visit the other JBelle DT Rockstars to see what they created!!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday! ***A Frankenstein Card*** hehe

What do I mean by a Frankenstein card?? Well, there is a lil' bit of this and a lil' bit of that! hehe I must admit, I forgot to make my card for today's Jacksonbelle Challenge, which is to use Rub-Ons. So I scrambled this morning on what to do and then I saw today's Color Challenge over at SCS and so I decided to make this quick card, using different elements from a few of my DT's!! LOL

The DP is by October Afternoon and can be purchased at the Jacksonbelle Store. The stamped butterflies are by The Rubber Cafe which I also brushed on some yummy Pink Poinsettia Shimmerz paints. The Rub-On is by Melissa Frances, stick pins by Making Memories and the sheer polka dotted DP is by Ki Memories. To finish it off, I added some blue gingham ribbon and some mini pearls to the butterflies.

We would love for you to play along to. If you upload to SCS just use keyword JBE045 or you can send a link to your card to the Jacksonbelle Blog. Also, take a look at what the other JBelle DT Girls created!

Birthdays and Babies!!

Those are my 2 favorite occasions to make things for! To celebrate the birth of one's life, new and old! I have been "addicted" to all the daily challenges over at SCS! So here are a few projects I have done in the past couple of days using their challenges.

This was part of yesterday's "Ways to Use It" challenge(to use stamps along with stickers) and a "Try a New Technique" (Round Top Box) challenge from a few weeks back. I have posted a couple of these boxes before and they are just the easiest and most fun to make! And when I say easy, I mean easy!! If you can use a pair of scissors, then you can make this! Just go HERE for the template! I used some stamps by Autumn Leaves and some stickers by K&Co. I also filled the box with some faux Spanish Moss and mini string pearls.

This card was made also using yesterday's Stamps and Stickers challenge. I stamped the Birthday Cake (Inque Boutique) onto some of that yummy Dream Street Designs DP I had left over from my M2R March Kit and then I stamped it again onto some pink and green CS. I cut them out and paper pieced them over the cake for a little added dimension. I then added some Pink Poinsettia and Celery Shimmerz and glitter over them. The stickers are by K&Co. and the Paper Studio.

And lastly, this card was done using the Sketch challenge from this past Wednesday. I used some more Dream Street DP and a House-Mouse stamp called Birthday Cupcake. Aren't those mice just the cutest? The "Another Yummy Birthday" stamp is by Inque Boutique. I used Copics to color in the image. I am just starting to get into using Copics. I only have about 30 colors and hope to get more soon. I also hope to be able to use them the way everyone else does!! hehe But I'm learning!!

My brother-in-law just got operated on yesterday. Him and my sis live in a suburb of Memphis. So it stinks that I can't be there for them! He had to get an operation on his nose and his tonsils removed! Ouch! They say when you are older, it is very painful! But hopefully he won't have much pain! Hope you have a speedy recovery Tim!

And, I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Hugs,

Butterfly Madness!!

I love butterflies so when my Rubber Cafe DT packet came filled with butterfly stamps, I was a happy girl!! I just love to make them appear as if they are flying right off the card. There are alot of beautiful new stamps and products at The Rubber Cafe! You can check them out HERE! And here are a couple of cards I recently made. We were given a Basic Grey Marrakech paper pack to work with also. So that is who all the patterned papers are by.

This first one was made with the Large Swirl Butterfly (J-1038). I used multiple colors of ink on the stamp and then added some Pixie Dust Shimmerz. I adhered the butterfly by just gluing the center of the body and then pinching forward the wings. The Rub-On is by Melissa Frances.
This one was made with the Small Swirl Butterfly(C-335) and Grass Edge(I-901) stamps.
And this one was also made with the Grass Edge stamp as well as the Small Paisley Butterfly (C-328)stamp. I used yesterday's Card Sketch at SCS for this one.
I will have more to show you soon! Have a wonderful day!

Spring Fling Blog-A-Log!! **An Easter Centerpiece**

Today is my day for the Scrapbook News and Review Spring Fling Blog-A-Log Tour!! Thanks for stopping by my little neck of these bloggin' woods!! I decided to make a quick and easy Easter project that you can do in minutes! It literally took me 10 minutes to make!

I had purchased this little wooden and metal bucket at, believe it or not, Rite Aid for just a couple of bucks! You can use anything though, a glass jar, metal container, whatever you have. I first filled my bucket (I think it looks like a wishing well too, hence the title) with some faux green spanish moss, some Easter picks, a Sassfras chipboard Bunny, a Melissa Frances Cut out flower that I adhered to a pipe cleaner and a beautiful felt flower made by my friend and fellow M2R DT member, Sarah.

Then on the outside, I adhered some Dream Street Designs DP to the front. I printed out of MS Word, the sentiment onto a piece of vellum and then adhered that over the DP. I then added some ribbon and a big bow and a Sassfras chipboard Butterfly to the handle.

And that's it!! It looks so pretty and springy and looks like it took forever to make! But it didn't!! hehe Hope you like it!!

Thanks again for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day and a Blessed Easter or Passover!

My Dirty Little....I mean BIG Secret!!

Do you see what this says??!! Holy Cow! I am a DIRTY GIRL at SCS!! I am still in shock and so very honored!

Back in the middle of January, Jenn Balcer, sent me a PM asking me to call her. I thought I was in trouble for something!! LOL Because about 2 or 3 weeks before, I had listed on SCS that I had blog candy, not realizing that you couldn't do that(Ooops!) So I thought "Oh, boy, now they are calling me to yell at me!" And when she asked me if I wanted to join the Dirty Dozen, I was floored and of course, said yes!! When I hung up the phone I started screaming and my hands were shaking!! My son thought I was hurt!! LOL Well, needless to say, it has been killing me not to be able to scream it on the rooftops until now!! Today is my reveal date! So while I'm so very excited and honored, I still don't feel like I belong there! The girls on that team, both present and past are just amazing, amazing artists and the sweetest people you'll ever want to meet! They have welcomed me into the "Dirt Pile" with open arms and I am very grateful for that!

So if you are a member of the Fan Club, please stop by and say hi! I would love to get to know all of you!! ♥

And a huge congrats to Kim Teasdale, the other new member of the Dirty Dozen! Her work is amazing! Make sure you check out her gallery HERE and her awesome blog, HERE!! Congrats Kim!! You definitely deserve to be there!!

Have a wonderful day!!

Well, sorry for another quickie post today. Still not feeling that great! Yesterday was my son's third birthday and I feel so bad that his party was postponed but he still had a great day! I played with him inside, my hubby played with him outside and then he got to visit his favorite cousins. So he had a good day and I am happy about that! Now I need to get better and get ready for his party on Sunday! That day is going to be a very big day for him and me too! You will find out soon!!! hehe

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge! ~ Prima Wall Hanging

Today's challenge at Jacksonbelle Embellishments is to use Prima. They have so many new beautiful things that have just been released. Make sure you check out the Prima section of the Jacksonbelle Store HERE. We would love for you to play along too. You don't have to use new Prima, just whatever Prima you have. If you upload to SCS please use keyword JBE042 or you can link your creation to the Jacksonbelle blog HERE.

I decided to make a wall hanging instead of a card. Everything used to make this is by Prima except for the Colorbok chipboard heart and the white pearls and hemp cord I made to hang it with. The paper is from the Mary Jane Collection, the paper flowers are from the Artful Collage Collection, the lace ribbon and pink flower trim(which I cut up)is from the Elysee' Collection, The Crystal Swirl is from Say it in Crystals and I used the new Prima Clear Wall Stamp and a new Prima Butterfly. Isn't that butterfly pretty! It is so sparkly and shiny IRL.

Stop by and visit the other Jacksonbelle Girls and see what they came up with! I'm sure it is all fabulous!!
