♥ Candi Sweets ♥

Happy Day everyone! It's time for another "Anything Goes" Challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! As long as it is a paper creation, we want to see it!

This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing some fun products by Craftwork Cards! They make the cutest little "Candi" that is actually a think paper "dot" that when applied with some of their adhesives or any mini pop dot, they look exactly like a brad minus the "feet". So you can use them anywhere you like! (They remind me of those "Candy Buttons" I used to eat as a kid!)

I used the cute Sugar Frosting Polka Dots Candi on my card. They are currently out of stock at the moment :( but will be back in shortly! There are many different sweet other styles available though. You can check them out HERE! The fun Papers and Die Cuts are by Crate Paper from The Pier line.

The super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore

And, as a special promotion Craftwork Cards are also providing this fabulous Card Candi box with an Alphabet stamp set which are the perfect size to stamp onto the candi. How cool is that?!!

This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by American Crafts! I used some cute 6x6 papers and Die cuts from the Mayberry line. I also used the Mason Jar stamp from the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan line. Unfortunately that cute little stamp set is sold out but you can get a similar Jar Stamp, also from the Dear Lizzy line.

♥ Sweet Flowers... ♥

I hope you all are having a lovely week so far. My son has only 4 days left of being a 1st grader! Yikes! How did my baby get so big, so fast?? They grow up way too fast!! I can't wait to have him home with me every day this summer! Lots of swimming...walks on the Boardwalk...eating BBQ...playing with his sweet, little friends...sleeping at Grandma and Grandpa's house! He is just too excited! {And so am I!} We also had a nice visit this past week from my sister and brother-in-law. The kids had so much fun with them!

This is a sweet little card that I made with some of the new Digi Garden Papers by Crafty Secrets! They are so summery fresh! Beautiful patterns, colors and sweet little seed packet papers in both flowers and vegetables. Love that flower Ad paper too!!

The "Flower Seed Packet" is from one of the Seed packet papers which I made larger in some photo editing software. On the flower paper alone there are 24 different images to use! Or you can just print it out smaller to use as a background paper for a card, scrapbook page or some other type craft. The possibilities are endless! And what's even better is the entire set is only $9.95 and can be used over and over again!! I purchased the cute mini shovel HERE.

And starting tomorrow over on the fabulous Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog, one of the sponsors will be Crafty Secrets! You'll have a chance to win a $40 Gift Certificate to the Crafty Vintage Girl Store! Good luck everyone!

Have a sweet day!!

♥ On the move... ♥

Happy Hump Day! That means, it's time for a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! This time the theme is "Transport". Think cars, planes, trains, bicycles, rocket ships, wagons, etc.

The Simon Says DT are showcasing products by Basic Grey! I love the Oliver line by BG. It is so cute, especially for making little boy cards. It has lots of trains and even a cute little wagon in it. So that is what I used for my card. I used the Oliver Chipboard Stickers, Die Cut Shapes and Rub On Book. I love that sweet little chipboard train! I gave it a little bling with some glitter on its wheels and some Liquid Pearl centers.

The cute papers are by Heidi Swapp from the Vintage Chic 8x8 Paper Pack. I added some white acrylic paint to the edges of the aqua colored paper.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

♥ Garden Theme Pin Cushion ♥

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We spent the weekend by the pool, having a BBQ with the neighbors. It was such a beautiful day yesterday. My sister and brother-in-law are flying in tomorrow, so we are all excited for their visit. We have lots of fun things to do planned. I can't wait to see them! I miss them both so much!

I made this cute little pin cushion using some of the new Garden Papers by Crafty Secrets. You can read more about them HERE! They are so beautiful. And they will be available starting today! Love all of the seed packet papers!!

Here's a quick "how-to" on how to make it!

First off, to make the pin cushion, is Super EASY!! I simply took a small organza bag that has pretty roses on them which I purchased in the wedding section of Michaels. (They come in a few different colors.) Remove the strings on the end, by simply cutting it and then pulling out. Then, fill with fiberfill. And either sew it shut or you can hot glue the edges shut. Which is what I did. It is so quick and easy and no one will know, since you won't see it! ;) Just be careful not to burn your fingers.

Then I distressed (just a little) with some brown ink, this cute little wooden crate with a handle. They are only $1 at Michaels. Add some tissue paper for height and then add the pin cushion. You can hot glue everything to hold it in place.

Next, I enlarged the Gardening Ad paper bigger, using photo editing software. I then cut out the part I wanted, distressed it a bit and then added it to the front of the mini crate, over a piece of lace. I colored in the roses with some Copics.

I then enlarged the Flower Seed Packet paper and cut out 1 of the "seed packets". I then distressed it and then added it to the one side of the crate. I also used a crystal, button, pearls and hand dyed seam binding. I also made the stick pins as well. I finished it off, with some cute little gardening tools!

I also made this little watering can pin cushion as well. Once again, using one of the Flower Seed packets from the new Garden Paper Set!

Make sure you check out all of the beautiful new Garden papers and ephemera by Crafty Secrets! As well as all of the creation by our DT!!

Speaking of pin cushions, I was just featured in the May issue of Simply Homemade Magazine (UK). And I was thrilled to see that I was on the cover with 1 of my tea cup pin cushions (Middle of Cover) and part of another Tea Cup Pin Cushion(Top middle)! That made my day!! :) I have 4 pin cushions all together in the issue. 1 of them was made with Crafty Secrets products!

Have a sweet day! Oh, and don't forget to check out not 1 but 2 Giveaways I am having! 1 will help put a smile on a beautiful young lady!! :)

hugs...
