And, last but not least, STAMPtember® is right around the corner!! Just wait until you see all the new goodies that will be released!! And there will be awesome challenges, great sales and a Blog Hop!! :)

And that sentiment "The Best Things in Life Aren't Things" certainly rang true for us! On Sunday we had a bit of a scare. My son, Antonio, whose 9, was bitten in the back, twice, by the neighbors German Shepherd. Thankfully he is ok and the dog is up to date with all of his shots. Very scary though!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

♥ If Teachers were Apples... ♥

Hello there! I can't believe that Summer is almost over! So sad. :( I don't like when it's time for the kids to go back to school. I love when they are home. How can you not ever want to be with your children?? And now this year, both of my babies will be going! I can't believe my oldest is going in to 4th grade! And the little one, who turns 5 on the 28th, is going to preschool. I actually had him enrolled for Kindergarten this coming year but decided to send him to preschool instead. This year our school district starts full day kindergarten and since he is only turning 5 a few days before school starts, I just didn't think he was ready to go all day. (I don't think I was ready either!) If, only, I could make a potion to keep them young! {Sigh!}

And since, we are talking school....This week's new challenge at the super fabulous Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog is....BACK TO SCHOOL!
This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by My Mind's Eye! For my card, I am using the Remarkable 6x6 Paper Pad by MME. Love the sweet papers in this pad. I am also using the Best Teacher Clear Stamp Set by Clearly Besotted. Love that cute sentiment and apple! I used Black StazOn and Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red, Fern Green and Dark Chocolate inks

I finished off the card using none other than some May Arts Natural Twine and a Pearl! ;)

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

♥ Sweet Mason Jar filled with Cherries ♥ {And exciting news!!}

Hello there! Hope you are enjoying your day! Stopping in with a sweet card made with some more super cute papers and embellies from the iralamija shop! This time I used a mason jar from the Vintage Jars Collage Sheet and "filled" it with some sweet cherries.

The background paper is from the Recipe Backgrounds Collage Sheet. Love it!! So sweet and shabby!

I finished it with some seam binding ribbon, twine, pearls and a white doily. The "enjoy" is from the Expressions No. 2 Collage. AND do you see the shimmery mica flakes on the jar?? That is actually some Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz that is about 6 years old! It was all dried up. So I added a little bit of water and a drop of Rubbing Alcohol in it, shook it up and it was back to use again! Such an amazing product! It gives a gorgeous shimmery, glittery, mica, vintage look to anything you use it on! Paper, metal, plastic, etc!

And that is my exciting news!! The super sweet and beautiful, Stacey McElyea, owner of Shimmerz Paints, asked me to re-join her DT! I was on one of her first DT's back in 2009 but had to leave due to personal reasons. I was always sad about that. But now I am back and so excited to be working with Shimmerz again! There are so many more products now than when I left so I'm thrilled to get to work with all of them! You can check out the Shimmerz blog HERE and the Shimmerz Store HERE.

And don't forget to check out the iralamija shop too! ;)

♥ Another Shabby, Vintage Tag ♥

Hi! Hope you all had a lovely weekend!! Just stopping in with another tag made with some iralamija papers and embellishments! This was actually a request for one of my Etsy customers. She wanted a tag similar to this one but in browns and creams. I used another cute mason jar from the Vintage Jars Collage Sheet. I actually colored in one of the "pieces of fabric" for the jar in a brown ink since she didn't want any of the other colors. But that just goes to show you again how great these images are! They can be altered to your liking! :)

The beautiful background paper is from the Kraft Ephemera Collage Sheet. The sentiment is from the Expressions No. 2 Collage Sheet.

I also used some Prima flowers, ruler trim, hand dyes seam binding, pearls, a punched butterfly and some twine.

Stop by the iralamija shop for some beautiful shabby chic and vintage collage sheets!! You won't be disappointed!! ;)

Happy Wednesday to you!! And since it's Wednesday, that means it's time for a brand new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This week's challenge...Food and/or Drink!
This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Products! Almost everything on my card is made by Simon Says Stamp!  I first started with a White Cardstock by Simon Says as my card base. The top layer of cardstock was cut using the larger die from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes Set and I die cut some circles using the Stitched Circles dies by Simon Says. I also used the Scream for Ice Cream Stamps and Die Set. The ice cream cone and hearts were stamped in Lipstick Red, Twirling Tutu, Thistle and Catkin Inks, all by, yup, you guessed it, Simon Says Stamp!
