♥ Betsy's Sketch ♥

Whenever I need inspiration I go and visit Betsy Veldman's blog! Her talent amazes me every time! No wonder she is a Paper Crafts Go-To_Gal!! {I ♥ Her!} So I went there today, I remembered she has this awesome sketch that she drew for Paper Crafts exclusive online sketch! I love the sketch so much, I decided to make 2 cards and I'm sure I will use this sketch for a long, long time to come!!
I tried to take a different approach to the sketch. Here's what I did:
This first one, I used some October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper and an a OA Fly A Kite journal card and shape stickers. I also used some glitter on her dress, bow for her hair, a paper doilie, buttons and a Melissa Frances rub-on.
For the next card, I used some Fancy Pants paper called Delicate Dots, more OA shaped stickers, glitter, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, paper doilie, gingham ribbon, MM flower stick pin, Hero Arts pearls and some Melissa Frances rub-ons.
Now go and visit Betsy's blog HERE for some inspiration! Trust me, you won't be disappointed!!

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend! Oh, and I just might be back soon with a fun giveaway! {wink}

It's a Boy thing! ♥ABC's Nightlight and Card ♥

Here is a little candle stick nightlight with a matching card that I made for the nursery. It went along with a few challenges too! This week's challenge on the Play Date Cafe was to make something using the colors light blue, light green and off white. Perfect for this! And yesterday's Ways to Use it Challenge on SCS was to use chipboard on your project/card, which I used plenty of! The star base on the nightlight, mini stars and abc's are all Maya Road chipboard pieces which I painted light green or blue, then distressed the edges with white paint and then added some glitter to them. The night light is so fun to make, I think I will make some more for a boy and girl and sell them in my store!!
I then made a matching card using this week's sketch from the Mojo Monday blog! Here is the sketch and the card!

They look so cute on the bookshelf in the nursery.

Happy May Day and National Scrapbooking Day everyone! (Saturday!) Have a wonderful weekend!!

♥ Vintage {Baby} Sweetness ♥

I am definitely in baby mode lately! Can you tell?! :) This is a vintage style card I made recently. I am soo in love with these Bloomer Trims by Webster's Pages. I used papers by October Afternoon, the Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite lines and the red polka dot paper is by Basic Grey.

I also used a large chipboard heart which I painted white and then added some ultra fine glitter over it, Melissa Frances rub-ons, a paper doilie, ribbon, a vintage button, hemp cord and Martha Stewart Scalloped Edge Punch.
Have a wonderful day/night!!

Be who you are.... ♥ 2 Sketches 4 You ♥

This card is for this week's sketch over at the 2 Sketches 4 You blog. It is being sponsored this week by the super talented Shanna Vineyard. {Love her!} She designs stickers for Bo Bunny and does an awesome job at it, and she is the sweetest too! Here is this week's sketch.
So, since this week's sketch is being sponsored by Shanna and Bo Bunny, I decided to make my card using the gorgeous papers from Bo Bunny's Limited Edition Glitter Series. The striped paper is called Jazmyne Mist, the large polka dotted one is called Jazmyne Dew Drops and the purple lined paper and flowers is called Jazmyne Noteworthy. They are so pretty and glittery. I also used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch, some pearls, hemp cord and a Melissa Frances rub-on. Hope you like it! Card with matching envelope
Now back to decorating the nursery!!! I was going to do it in an animal theme but then I found this adorable set called Vintage Patch. I instantly fell in love with both the pattern and the name! Love the adorable apple, car and boat. And the A B C's are fun too! You can buy some matching Wall Art for this set (on the wall behind crib) but I didn't like it, so I decided to make my own. I'll have that for you as soon as I'm done! ;)
Have a great night!
