♥ Simon Says... A Sketch! ♥

This week at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog we have a fabulous sketch for you! (see below) You can turn it sideways, upside down, whatever you like! Just remember to have FUN with it!

This week the Simon Says DT was also challenge to use glitter on our cards as well as stamps by La-La Land Crafts. I chose this adorable stamp called "Caroling Luka". I colored him in with some chalks and then added lots of Martha Stewart Fine White Glitter to it.

I also used paper by October Afternoon's new line called "Holiday Style" as well as trims, seam binding, pearls and flowers.

Here is the Simon Says Sketch!

As always, Heidi will generously give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!

Have a great day!

♥ A Halloween Card and Treat Box! ♥

Hi Friends! I have missed crafting so much that I am squeezing in some time for a little fun in between changing diapers, cleaning my home, laundry, cooking, running errands, you know all that other FUN STUFF!! LOL Here is a fun little Halloween set I made. I will be giving this to my 4 yr old son. I will probably fill the little box with some candy (not too much since he will be trick or treating!)and maybe some money so he can go and visit Toys R' Us for a little something! (Most likely a Thomas train!!)
I made the little pumpkin on the box using a styrofoam ball which I covered in some orange glitter, used some The Girls Paperie paper for his eyes, nose and mouth, added some ribbon hair and a little mini witches hat which I made from black cs, covered in glitter and topped off with a sheer ribbon bow. The box is also covered with some Girls Paperie paper, some crocheted ribbon and satin ribbon bow.
For the card, I used some more Girls Paperie paper, a Crafty Secrets cutout which I added more glitter to, some burlap and more crocheted and satin ribbon.
I made this for this week's challenges over at Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings which was to make a Halloween card and/or Treat bag or box. I also used this week's sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You and I also used today's Ways to Use it Challenge over at SCS which was to use fabric on your card (does burlap count??). And last but not least, I used this week's challenge over at the City Crafter Challenge blog, which was to make a card/project that has a vintage feel to it!

♥ Pearls and Swirls ♥

I recently found this fun challenge blog called Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. This week's challenge is called Pearls and Swirls! Your card/project must be filled with, yup, you guessed it, pearls and swirls! Some of my favorite things! The following cards were made for this fun challenge!

This first card uses some Webster's Pages papers, Prima pearl swirls with flowers, MS punched butterflies, hemp cord and a Dear Lizzy stamped sentiment.
This next one is a gift card holder made with some So Sophie Ledger paper by My Mind's Eye, Prima chipboard, MME Quite Contrary Tickets, stamps by Pink Persimmon and We R Memory Keepers, pearls, seam binding and glitter.
And finally, this card was made with some We R Memory Keepers Old Glory papers, a star pick, a stamp by DMD, gingham ribbon and some pearls. I also used this week's sketch from the 2 Sketches 4 You blog.
Here is the 2S4Y sketch.
I hope you all {here in the US or abroad} have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend!! Have fun!!

Be who you are.... ♥ 2 Sketches 4 You ♥

This card is for this week's sketch over at the 2 Sketches 4 You blog. It is being sponsored this week by the super talented Shanna Vineyard. {Love her!} She designs stickers for Bo Bunny and does an awesome job at it, and she is the sweetest too! Here is this week's sketch.
So, since this week's sketch is being sponsored by Shanna and Bo Bunny, I decided to make my card using the gorgeous papers from Bo Bunny's Limited Edition Glitter Series. The striped paper is called Jazmyne Mist, the large polka dotted one is called Jazmyne Dew Drops and the purple lined paper and flowers is called Jazmyne Noteworthy. They are so pretty and glittery. I also used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch, some pearls, hemp cord and a Melissa Frances rub-on. Hope you like it! Card with matching envelope
Now back to decorating the nursery!!! I was going to do it in an animal theme but then I found this adorable set called Vintage Patch. I instantly fell in love with both the pattern and the name! Love the adorable apple, car and boat. And the A B C's are fun too! You can buy some matching Wall Art for this set (on the wall behind crib) but I didn't like it, so I decided to make my own. I'll have that for you as soon as I'm done! ;)
Have a great night!
