I love to alter and decorate boxes to give as gifts. And when I saw Betsy Veldman's "Vintage Findings" challenge and Flourishes "The Beauty of a Gift" challenge, I decided to make some vintage style boxes for my son's Pre-School teachers.
I purchased the chalkboard topped boxes at Michael's and decorated them with some vintage alphabet and school papers, wooden school elements, an old ruler, ribbons, mini clipboard and a piece of chalk, which I hot glued to the top. I also used some Melissa Frances rub-ons as well as a button. I painted the top of the box white and then inked it brown and blue for an aged look. Before giving them to his teachers, I filled them with candy. His teachers loved them!I hope you all have a safe and Happy Halloween!! Have FUN!
