Moving on... {Good and Sad News!}

Sorry, I have been absent lately...so much has happened in the past couple of weeks. We have purchased a new home and are now in the process of selling this one. And I'm sure those of you who have sold/purchased a house, know what a daunting task it is! I am usually pretty easy going and always trying to think positive, but all of this has drove me crazy! While, it is a great time for us, and we are very happy, it is also very stressful! Always keeping the house sparkling clean, just in case, a prospective buyer may stop by! Not easy when you have an active 3 yr old running around and moving boxes everywhere! But none the less, we are truly blessed and happy! But here is the sad news, I have had to resign from all my design teams, temporarily! It was a very hard decision for me to make! I have worked so hard to get where I was and to have to resign was not easy. But like I said, it will only be temporary. I just couldn't do it all. It was getting too overwhelming not to mention I have had to pack up most of my supplies. But I will be back!

I will still post things on here, in between the move and I will let you all know how we are progressing. I have enjoyed posting here and reading all your sweet comments and I couldn't stay away from you all for long. So I will still be around here when I can. I still have one last project I have to do for Shimmerz Paints! There will be a release of some new colors on the 21st! Can anyone say Vintage!! Oh yeah! I also may have one last giveaway before I move. So stay tuned for that! :)

Before I leave you today, I just want to show you a couple of projects I made for the June Dirty Dozen gallery over at SCS. The theme was called "In the Beginning" So we could do something for a new baby, new home, new car, etc. My FAVORITE theme!!

This is a Godiva Chocolate box that I altered to give as a little welcome gift to a new neighbor. It uses some Clear Dollar and Lizzie Anne stamps, a wooden birdhouse, Shimmerz Paints and some papers by Pink Paislee, Basic Grey and October Afternoon.
This card was made using a stamp by Magenta, simply called Baby Carriage. Isn't it precious? I love that stamp!
And finally, this button tree. I think it would be a perfect centerpiece for a baby shower. I would also make a fun game. Can you guess how many buttons were used to make this??!
I will be back shortly, with a few more things from this fun theme. You all are the BEST! Thank you so much for all your support, sweet comments and friendship! I cherish every one of you! ;)

Hugs...

Sorry to hear about the stress level causing you to retire from DT's hope you settle down soon and once you've settled into your new home it will all fall into place- good luck. I vowed I would never move I couldn't stand the stress myself- so here I've been for 30+ years

Well I know the stress well of moving and house for sale. We have the house for sale 5 hours away from where we are at most of the time now. My biggest thing will be when it sells because it almost fully furnished and we will have to get rid of all the stuff there. Been doing this since January! Hope yours sells fast! Not any easier with teenagers in the house either!

Button tree, I say must be about 300 of those babies on there! I cxan only imagine how long that took!

Sorry to hear about you having to resign, but we'll look fwd to your return. Good luck with everything!

I wondered what you had been up to lately, missed seeing all of your beautiful projects and these today are no exception.

I understand about the moving part and just keep remembering it is short term and we can survive anything short term. How far away will you be moving.

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Oh, I totally understand! We have had to move twice in the last ten months. There's a reason moving is in the Top 5 of all-time stressful things in life!

And I know it was hard to resign from your teams. But you will come back refreshed and inspired. The break will be good.

A move is always stressful but all will be worth it in the long run as they say "This too shall pass". I am a realtor and see people everyday struggle with problems of moving saying farewell to old neighbors, but I also see them when they are in the new home and very happy and enjoying their new residence. Getting a new lease on life, meeting new neighbors and learning about the workings of the neighborhood, schools, churches, and shops nearby. Best wishes to you and your family!! You are a talanted card maker and before you know it you will be back full speed ahead!! We will be looking for your speedy return.

Hugs,
