♥ Simon Says...Monochromatic ♥

Hi friends!! Before I get started on today's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge I just wanted to ask if any of you have ever had Poison Ivy? I have had it now for a few days and I am ready to try anything to get rid of it! It is the worst!! It is so itchy, I feel like I want to rip my skin off! :( Anyone have any natural home remedies? I already tried swimming in the ocean (supposedly the sea water is supposed to help!), Calamine lotion, Witch Hazel, White Vinegar and Baking Soda, taking Vitamin C, swimming in my pool, hot showers, cold showers, you name it, I think I tried it! So if anyone knows of anything, please let me know. I would really appreciate it! :)

So on to today's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! This week we want to see Monochromatic cards!

This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by Paper Smooches! I chose this cute clear stamp set called Whirligigs. I stamped the images in a couple different shades of green inks on white cardstock. I used a scallop circle punch on one of them and cut the other two out with scissors.

The base paper on the card is by Magnolia Ink and is called Sage Kitchen Cloth. Such a fun paper! I also used a beautiful die by Cottage Cutz called Bella Leafy Branch. I ran the die through my Grand Calibur Machine twice, first using a light green cardstock and then a darker green cardstock. I "filled in" some of the light green leaves with some of the darker green cardstock. The "Smile" stamp is from Ali Edwards Favorite Memories Clear Stamp Set.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

Have a wonderful day!!

Oh poor Melissa, I feel for you! I don't think there's anything to do but let it run it's course. Hope that itching stops soon!
Love your card today - that leafy branch is really lovely!!

This is a gorgeous card....love the color palette and the delicate details you added. For the poison ivy, we found this stuff years ago: Resinol. It really works, and they have it at Walgreens. My sympathies...poison ivy is no fun! Feel better soon!

I also have poison ivy. We cut a tree down last weekend and there must have been PI around the tree. I am very allergic to it. You've tried everything that I would suggest. The only other option I know is going to the doctor and get a script for prednosone (spelling?). But that's not fun either. Have you tried Benydryl cream for the itch? Lovely card. The shades of green blend so nicely together. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Lovely card.
For your poison ivy, you might try Benadryl capsules which are available over the counter; there are generic versions available at a very low cost. That should help the itch. If that doesn't give you some relief, a prescription for prednisone will work for sure. I had a severe case of PI a few years ago and the prednisone really worked for me.
