Woo-Hoo! Hello Hoppers! I hope you all are having fun so far hopping around all of the stops on the STAMPtember Blog Hop! If you are just arriving here first, you must go back to the Simon Says Stamp Store Blog to start the hop! Now before we start, let me just give you some information about Simon Says Stamp!
Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. Over the past 10 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a “STAMPtember” ™ event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.
We are helping kick off the festivities with a Design Team Blog Hop! You must hop around to all of my teammate's blogs. Each of them has a special handmade work of art to share with you and also more prizes along the way! Enter the "Put a STAMP On It!" Challenge and be sure to put a STAMP on it and you could be the lucky winner of our GRAND PRIZE! A $100 Simon Shopping Spree!
This week's challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is called "Put a Stamp On It" but as an extra twist the DT also used Washi Tape! You don't have to use Washi Tape on your creation to join the challenge, just a stamp, (no digi's) but if you have Washi Tape, we would love to see it! {FYI: To participate in the Blog Hop, you must also create a card for this challenge too!}
For my card, I decided to die cut Washi Tapes. And let me tell you, this is addicting and so much FUN!! I used Washi Tapes by Freckled Fawn called Rose, Love My Tapes called Mint Chevron and Tape Measure and by Queen and CO. called Pink Stripes.
I first lined up the strips of tapes in a pattern onto some white card stock. I made sure the edges were just touching and the tapes were smooth with no air bubbles. I then ran it through my Cuttlebug with the My Favorite Things Chevron Stripes Die. I also used some Martha Stewart Heart Punches and Butterfly Punch with the Washi Tape paper too!
The beautiful banner and stamped sentiment is from the Exclusive Clear Stamp Set By Simon Says Stamp called Beautiful Words. I finished up the card with a Doily Die Cut, White Opal Liquid Pearls and a Twine bow.
I have a $25 Gift Certificate to the Simon Says Stamp Store to give away! To qualify, you must complete the STAMPtember Blog Hop starting HERE and you must make a card for the "Put a Stamp On It" challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! Then enter your name below! I will randomly choose a winner and announce it here on my blog next Wednesday!
Thanks for visiting! The next stop in the Simon Says STAMPtember ™ Blog Hop is Shannan!
If while hopping, you encounter a broken link, you can go back to the beginning here at the Simon Says Stamp Blog!
