♥ Home Sweet Home ♥

Hi everyone! Just stopping in with a card I made for this week's City Crafter challenge. Home Sweet Home! They want to see a house on your project.

I covered a Maya Road chipboard house with some papers by The Girls Paperie. I then added some trim, a punched heart, Liquid Pearls and some punched butterflies.

Just a quick and easy card that can be made for someone special. I also used some twine, a button, paper piercer, seam binding and the sentiment was printed out of MS Word onto white cardstock.

Here is the lovely City Crafter inspiration photo~

And speaking of Home Sweet Home, I wanted to show you a pic or two of my landing above my front door. I had nothing up there because I couldn't think of what to do with it. At Christmas time it was great because I would put a tree up there with presents around it, but the rest of the year it was empty! So I had recently went to a consignment shop (never had gone to one before), well, now I am hooked! When I was in there, I saw this old trunk. It was only $35! A light bulb then went off in my head! I am going to do the theme "Grandma's Attic" for my empty space!

Mostly everything is from Home Goods. The "old books" are boxes I picked in Michaels for 60% off. The dress form I picked up in Marshall's for $50! I may add 1 or 2 more things but I really love that space now. So if you have a consignment shop near you, stop in! You never know what you may find or how you may be inspired!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Hugs...
Melissa

Oh, yeah, and stay tuned for another fabulous giveaway soon!! ;)

What a sweet & pretty card! I love the soft colors and the lace trim.
I LOVE your Grandma's attic space! There are so many treasures to be found at consignment shops, thrift shops, and yard sales. I not only shop at but I donate anything of value to those associated with charities. Nearly all the storage in my craft closet came from those shops.
Blessings Bernie

I also donate lots of things this way, but usually my visits result in lots of goodies to bring home too. Your card is adorable. Speaks to the heart. Enjoy the weekend
