♥ Happy Birthday Butterfly ♥

Hello there! Stopping in with a sneaky peek of my new Shimmerz DT card. I love the jeweled tone background on this one. There is a slight gold sparkle to the colors, as well.

It was made using 4 different Shimmerz Products. And it was as easy as just spraying a little paint onto a piece of cardstock. I also colored the seam binding ribbon with the same products. (sorry for the messy bottles! But they are well loved and used!!;)

For the tutorial and full pics please visit the Shimmerz Blog HERE. And while you're there, I would really appreciate it, if you left me some love there! :)

They can all be purchased HERE at the Shimmerz Paints Store. If you've never used Shimmerz before, you should really give them a try! There are so many amazing different products. They are wonderful for all types of crafting and projects! :) On your next Shimmerz order, just mention my name, Melissa B in the "Notes to Merchant" section in the Paypal Checkout and you will receive a FREE Shimmerz Paints Product in your order! ;)

Have a fabulous day!!

The paper is from the 6x6 Butterfly Paper Pack by Prima.  I also used a Imago Butterfly and Vidette Isabella Flowers all by Prima.

I finished off the card with some White Crinoline, some May Arts Natural Twine and some White Opal Liquid Pearls.

Simon Says...April Showers and/or Spring Flowers ♥

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Easter! My sister and her hubby flew in the day before and we had a wonderful Easter! My parents are here too. So the kids have been having a blast! Nothing like having all of your family around. They will be here until the end of the week. So we have an entire roster of fun activities planned. :)

It's time for a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This week's theme is...April Showers and/or Spring Flowers!
This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by Memory Box. Oh, how I love Memory Box! So many beautiful dies to choose from!! But for this card, I am using the Lydia Butterfly Die. You can use the Sorona Butterfly Die behind it to make it a solid background, but I decided just to use the Lydia Die because I wanted that cut out look. The stamped sentiment is an older Memory Box Stamp.

I also used some Prima Coffee Break Cappuccino Flowers, a Doodlebug White Doily, some May Arts Natural Twine and some White Opal Liquid Pearls.

The papers are from the Bella Rouge 6x6 Paper Pad by Prima.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

I am entering this into:

I hope you have a week full of love, happiness and blessings!

♥ Colorful Butterfly Blueprint ♥

Happy Wednesday to you all! It's time for another brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! It's every one's favorite...ANYTHING GOES!

This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing Spectrum Noir products! I used the Primaries Colored Pencils Set. I must admit these are my first time using these pencils are they are fabulous!! Love the colors and the way they blend.

I would first color a section of the Tim Holtz Butterfly Sketch with a light shade and then blend it in with 1 of the Paper Stumps and then add a medium and darker shade over the lighter one, each time blending it in with a stump. When I was finished coloring in the butterfly, I added a coating of Glossy Accents over the image. I then cut the butterfly out and adhered it over another image of the sketch.

I also used some Tim Holtz Collage Papers, White Opal Liquid Pearls, seam binding, a vintage button and the alphabet and hello tag are from the Simon Says Butterflies Clear Stamp Set.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

♥♥♥ BONUS! And Spectrum Noir is giving away to 1 lucky winner their choice of 2 sets of Colored Pencils! :)
