♥ Back to School ♥

I can't believe school starts in 2 weeks already! I'm sad! :( I love when both of my kids are with me all day! I'm selfish! But it is a good thing for Antonio. I think he gets bored after awhile. It's good for him to have a routine and discipline (homework). I still can't believe he is starting 2nd grade! Yikes! Next year when my little one goes to Pre-School, I will really be sad! I'll be alone in a huge house all by myself for a few hours! What will I do?? Make a few cards!!?? Maybe, just a few! ;)

Well, this week we have the perfect challenge for this time of year at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! "Back to School"!

The Simon Says DT are showcasing products by Maya Road! One of my fave companies!! I used a cute Kraft Library card with/ Envelope. I inked it slightly with some white ink and added a white paper clip to it. The "no. 1 Teacher" is from the Just My Type Clear Stamp Set. The envelopes are cute because you could also tuck a gift card in there for teacher too!

I finished it off with a cute Mini Ruler also by Maya Road, the chipboard apple is also from an old Maya Road chipboard set, the papers are by Farmhouse Paper Company, FYI Paper Pad.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

Well, I'm not as itchy as I was before from this Poison Ivy, but it's still there! the doctor said 2-3 weeks!! ughh! NOT fun!!

Enjoy your day!!

hugs...

For my card I not only used some New goodies but I also made it for a New Baby! Love the adorable Cute as a Button Clear Stamp Set by Maya Road. It's so versatile, it could be used for many different occasions.

The pretty polka dot papers are from the Vintage Chic 8x8 Paper Pack by Heidi Swapp. I also used an old Baby rub-on transfer by Melissa Frances, a paper doily, seam binding ribbon and a handmade stick pin that I added a small Maya Road mini spool to.

And don't forget, Heidi will generously give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

♥ Simon Says...Anything Goes! ♥

Woo-Hoo! It's that time again...Anything Goes at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! As long as it is some type of paper crafting, we want to see it! Cards, scrapbook layouts, altered creations, gifts, etc. So much fun!

This week the Simon Says DT is featuring products by Hero Arts. I just love this Guest Check Clear Stamp set by Hero Arts. It has so many versatile and fun stamps in it. I decided to make a little photo holder with the set.

I first adhered some paper by Kaiser Craft from the Vintage Timeless Paper Pad to a Wendy Vecchi Art Parts Spool Set. Ever see these before? They are so fun! Each package comes with enough "parts" to make 3 spools. (They are made from a Kraft colored material similar to a thick chipboard.) So many ideas for these!!

I then printed out a 4x6 sepia photo of my kids and just trimmed it down a bit and distressed the edges. I then ran the larger die from the Romantic Rectangles set by Spellbinders through my Cuttlebug with some vanilla cardstock. Adhere photo to die cut. I then added the stamped tag to the side using a Hero Arts Little Clothes Pin as well as some stamped "flag banners" to the rear side of the photo and some Hero Arts Accent Pearl Hearts directly onto the photo.

To make the actual photo holder, I simply hot glued a little clothes pin to a mini Maya Road Wooden Spool and then adhered that to the center of the large spool. And then to finish it off, I added some seam binding, lace trim, a Maya Road Ruler and a stamped spool of thread image from the Guest Check Set. This was so much fun to make! It would make a great gift for someone and it only took about an hour and a half to make.

And, don't forget, Heidi will generously give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

Next week we will be having a fun Blog Hop at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog along with giveaways you won't want to miss!! ;)

Have a wonderful day!

♥ Simon Says...Anything but a Card! ♥

Oh, this week at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is gonna be a great one!! We want to see Anything but a Card! So get that creative spark going! Can't wait to see what you all come up with for this one!!

♥ And just to let you know, the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is moving to a new time! It will now go live at 9am Ohio time (Eastern, New York), 2pm UK time, 3pm CET :-) Entrants have until 1 hour before the next challenge starts to join in. ♥

This week the Simon Says DT is featuring products by 7 Gyspies and/or Maya Road. I chose to use some products by Maya Road. I made a Sewing Kit/Pin Cushion out of a Maya Road Tin. I used the one that the chipboard hearts come in, like THIS. Before I embellished it, I painted it with White Acrylic Paint.

I also used a Vintage Wood Sewing Spool, a Wooden Mini Spool, a Crystal Star Trinket Pin and some adorable little chipboard pieces from the Sew Cute Mini Chipboard Set. All by Maya Road, of course! ;)

The Pin Cushion was made in minutes. Just stuff a little organza favor bag with some fiberfill, remove the bags strings and then hand sew or machine sew the bag closed. Then just hot glue it to the top of the tin! Now you have a little tin that you can keep your sewing needles, thread, little scissors, etc inside and it has it's own pin cushion right on top! If you make your own decorative stick pins, this would be perfect.

I also used some Prima Song Bird Notecards similar to these on the top and inside of the tin. There is also some Prima and Webster's Pages trims, mini rose, glitter, large crystal, Floss and some stick pins made by the super talented Elise!

And, don't forget, Heidi will generously give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!
