Ahh! Summer is here! Well, almost..

I can't wait for Summer to get here. The warm air, the smell of BBQ's in the neighborhood, the sounds of kids playing, warm evening strolls at the boardwalk. Last weekend, we opened up our pool and got the backyard back in working order after the long winter! That's when I really know that summer is upon us! I still have lots to do, powerwashing more furniture, planting more flowers, but it's all good stuff! This is a photo I took the day after opening the pool. It is of our pool, gazebo and bar area. It will look much better once all my flowers start blooming. Can't wait!!
Here are a few cards that I made yesterday and today for some challenges over at SCS. The first 2 are for the Ways to Use it challenge yesterday. We had to use buttons!
This one is for today's Limited Supplies challenge to use only patterned papers! No cardstock other than your card base, No Coloring Mediums (copics, colored pencils, etc) and we had to leave the embellishments simple.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Now back to my cleaning!! Ughh!

Hugs,

Gorgeous backyard and pool. Summer already is here where I am. I use to be a homeowner with a gorgeous pool and landscaping that I did the upkeep on. Now I rent, and have no upkeep, but have a gorgeous pool and lawn I don't need to bother with. I had an 18 x 36 inground the last home I owned and the upkeep just about killed me on top of a full time job. Throw an acre of beautiful land in there with an 1800 sq ft house to upkeep...it was too much for one person and a husband that was disabled to take care of.
