Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I had a little time to get up to my Craft Room this weekend. So I made a Paper Pumpkin Place Card Setting using the new Thanksgiving Vintage Download Kit by Crafty Secrets! This new Downloadable Kit is filled with 10 gorgeous Fall themed printable papers, ephemera, Place cards, Menu Cards, Digi Stamps and more! You could decorate your entire home and Thanksgiving Table with this amazing Kit! And since it's Digital, you can reuse it year after year!
Making the paper pumpkin is super easy, quick and fun! Using a 8 1/2" x 11" size of paper from the kit, cut it long ways into 1" strips. Then adhere both ends of one of the strips to form a ring. Make sure the printed side is on the outside. (Pics are from a 2nd Pumpkin I made!)
Then add another "ring" across the first one making a cross. Then continue to add more rings to fill in the gaps.
Adhere finished "pumpkin" to a base such as a round scalloped piece of patterned paper using the side of the pumpkin with the glued ends. Add a small scalloped circle to the top of pumpkin. Add strips of patterned paper to 2 mini wooden spools that has been inked with brown ink or paint. Adhere to top of pumpkin to act as a stem. Decorate as desired.
I added one of the Place Cards from the kit as well as one of the Digi Stamps also included. I finished it off with some hemp cord and a button. This literally took me about 15 minutes to make. They will be on my Thanksgiving Table for sure with everyone's names printed on each one! And if you make them before Thanksgiving, they also make for great Fall decorations on a mantel! Say with the entire family's names on each one!
I hope you give this a try! If you do, I would love to see yours! Just leave me a comment with a link to yours so I can leave you some love too! ♥
I will be making an entire Place Setting using this Thanksgiving Kit! As soon as I'm finished, I'll show you! Oh, and I have some exciting news to share very soon too!! ;)
