♥ Colorful Butterfly Blueprint ♥

Happy Wednesday to you all! It's time for another brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! It's every one's favorite...ANYTHING GOES!

This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing Spectrum Noir products! I used the Primaries Colored Pencils Set. I must admit these are my first time using these pencils are they are fabulous!! Love the colors and the way they blend.

I would first color a section of the Tim Holtz Butterfly Sketch with a light shade and then blend it in with 1 of the Paper Stumps and then add a medium and darker shade over the lighter one, each time blending it in with a stump. When I was finished coloring in the butterfly, I added a coating of Glossy Accents over the image. I then cut the butterfly out and adhered it over another image of the sketch.

I also used some Tim Holtz Collage Papers, White Opal Liquid Pearls, seam binding, a vintage button and the alphabet and hello tag are from the Simon Says Butterflies Clear Stamp Set.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

♥♥♥ BONUS! And Spectrum Noir is giving away to 1 lucky winner their choice of 2 sets of Colored Pencils! :)

♥ Simon Says...Get Krafty ♥

Happy Wednesday to you all! It's time for a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This week we want you to "Get Krafty" and Use Kraft!
This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by Hero Arts! You don't have to use them to join in on the fun but if you have them, we would love to see them! I am using this cute "build a snowman" clear stamp set called Frosty Wishes. I just stamped the snowman, his face and hat using some Black StazOn on white cardstock and then cut them out. I did the same with the scarf and stick arms using Lipstick Red Ink by Simon Says and Walnut Stain by Ranger. The buttons were stamped in Caribbean Blue Ink by Simon Says and the carrot nose was colored in with the Spiced Marmalade Distress Marker by Tim Holtz. I filled in the snowman's body with some Glossy Accents and then some Chunky White Glitter.

I also used some Kraft Cardstock by Hero Arts, some Medium White Pearls also by HA and some Twine by Lawn Fawn. I "shaded" the kraft cs with some Frost White Ink to give the card front a frosty look.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

For my card, I used the super cute Trick or Treat Clear Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp. I also used the Ghouls and Goodies 6x6 Paper Pad by Doodlebug.

I finished off the card with some May Arts Natural Twine and some White Opal Liquid Pearls. The image was colored in with various Copic Markers.

♥ Simon Says...Use Watercolors! ♥

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA! Had some personal issues to take care of. :) It's time for a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This week we want you to Use Watercolors!  There are so many options for this challenge, you can use watercolor paints, pencils, crayons, gelatos, distress inks, whatever you can think of.

For my card, I first added some color to some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock using some Distress Inks by spritzing the cardstock with some water and using a brush added strokes of ink to it. When dry, I used the balloon stencils from the Simon Says Balloons and Patterns Stencils Set and just using my finger, spread some Gesso onto the cardstock. When the Gesso was dry, I outlined the Gesso balloons with some Distress Markers. Using a wet paint brush, I spread the inks to fill in the balloons, giving it more of a watercolor effect. When it was all dry, I matted it onto a Kraft card base.

I also used some May Arts Natural Twine and some Melissa Frances White Pearls. The stamped Happy Birthday is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Messages Clear Stamp Set. To keep the twine where I wanted it, I used little dabs of Glossy Accents to hold it in place.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!
