♥ It's Time to Party! ♥

Hello there! Happy New Year to you all! Personally, I can't wait for 2016! 2015 can just go away!! ;) Looking forward to new adventures, fun times and keeping to my New Year resolutions this year!! What are your New Year's Eve plans? We like to stay home especially since we have little ones. We have late night snacks (which we never do), games with the kids, watch Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve and of course have some champagne! Then we watch all of the fireworks that go off around here. Fun! And speaking of fun...there's a new challenge up at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!
And this week's challenge...yup, you guessed it...PARTY like it's 1999! Or 2016, whichever you prefer! ;) It can be a New Year's card, Birthday, Anniversary, etc!
I made several cards using the DoCrafts Classic Decadence Forever Friends Die Cuts and Paper Pack. Love this paper pack! You can make several different types of cards from it. From Birthdays to New Year's to Just Because and Friendship cards. They can be cute, elegant or in between!

I also used the DoCrafts Forever Friends Metallic Twine as well. Sequins are the Champagne Sequin Mix by Lucy's Cards.

For this one, I used a Hero Arts Acetate Folded Card to make a shaker card. The sequins are Jack Frost Sequins by Lucy's Cards. I also used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies as well.

Here is a New Year's card made with the pack as well.

And finally, a sweet Birthday card made with some of the pack's Die Cuts.

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

XOXO...

♥ Simon Says...Make it Sparkle ♥

2 more days peeps!! My kids are counting the seconds until Santa comes down our chimney! I kind of am too! ;) Love Christmas. The only bad thing about this Christmas....no snow and warm temps! I hate it! It does not feel like Christmas! I love my seasons and Christmas is supposed to be cold here in the Northeast! Tomorrow, Christmas Eve, is supposed to be in the 70's! Don't like it one bit!:)  But the most important thing is celebrating Jesus' Birthday with family and friends whom we love! Let's not forget the real meaning of Christmas! :)

Today starts a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! This week we want your creations to.... SPARKLE!
This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by Technique Tuesday. I am using the Merry Christmas Snowflake Seal Clear Stamp by TT.

This cute stamp is perfect for a card, a gift or the back of an envelope. Love stamps that are versatile like that. I stamped it directly onto the Hero Arts Acetate Card using some Black StazOn Ink and colored it in with the Candied Apple Distress Marker and added lots of  Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter.

I did the same thing for the TH Mini Mason Jar, only I stamped it onto some white cardstock instead of acetate. I also used lots of Jack Frost Sequins by Lucy's Cards on both the jar and card. (Love all of the sequins by Lucy's Cards!) Check them all out HERE!

Speaking of the jar, isn't that one of the cutest things you've seen? Love these jars and I also love the little spoon from the TH Silverware Adornments! So sweet! I filled the jar with some dry milk, cocoa powder, Powdered sugar, crushed candy cane and of course some mini marshmallows! Makes for a quick little gift! :)

And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

♥ Vintage Paper Ornament ♥

Hello! Can you believe Christmas is less than a week away? I'm stopping in today with a quick and easy place card setting you can make to dress up your holiday table. It is a little paper ornament that only takes minutes to make.

I used some beautiful collages from the iralamija shop on Etsy to make it. I used 4 different collages to make this and the total cost would be $17.35 for all 4. And since these can be printed over and over again, you can make endless "paper ornaments" for under $20! To get started, I re-sized the Christmas Strips Collage simply using Microsoft Word (you can use any photo editing software) so that the strips were longer and skinnier than they would normally print out.

Then using a hot glue gun, make a circle out of one of the strips.

Then adhere another strip around the first circle.

Continue adding "circles until you make a ball. You can add as many as desired. I just used the 6 strips that were included. Adhere a "base" to the bottom of your ornament using a punched or die cut scallop circle.

Then decorate as you wish! I used the Christmas Story Collage (which a name can easily be added to any of these images using either a printer and a marker or pen), Vintage Christmas Tickets and the Christmas Expressions Collage.

I finished it off with some hand dyed seam binding and pearls. Before completely closing up the ornament, you could also put a little battery operated tea light into each one for a wonderful effect on your holiday table! They would make just some simple decorations on any table or you can even leave off the "base" and hang them on the tree.

I hope you stop by the iralamija shop for some beautiful vintage and shabby chic designs!

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!
