♥ Simon Says...SUPER Hop and Treasure Hunt! ♥

For the second year in a row, Simon Says Stamp and Show and The Simon Says Stamp Challenges  are joining forces to bring you a SUPER hop and treasure hunt to celebrate the approaching fall and winter holidays.

To help celebrate we will be giving a BIG BASKET OF CRAFTING GOODIES to the winner of this hop! PLUS 3 $25 VOUCHERS to the Simon Says Stamp Store! The vouchers will be the hidden treasure on 3 DT blogs and you have to find them.

The Blog hop will start, today, August 31st, on the Simon Says Challenge Blog
and will finish on September 5th, at on the Simon Says Stamp and Show Blog.
The theme for both challenges this week will be ANYTHING GOES. You can make anything you like … a card, an ATC, a Scrapbook layout … the possibilities are endless!

You will need to hop through each blog, find the little parcel of goodies and make a note on which designer’s blog you found them. You do not HAVE to comment on all the DT blogs but we would appreciate any comments you would like to leave. If you lose your way at any time a full list of all the participating blogs with links will be available on Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the Stamp and Show Challenge blogs
For more details please refer to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge or the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge blogs for more details.

The last stop on the hop is the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge blog. You will need to leave a comment there with the names of the 3 blogs with treasure chest pictures. The comments will be moderated so you will not be able to see the answers.

If you arrived here from the super talented Mandy's Blog,  then you are going in the right direction otherwise you need to start at the beginning on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

For my card, I used the adorable Itty Bitty stamp set called "Enjoy this Day" by Unity Stamps. I love the vintage style bicycle and beautiful sentiment. I used some pretty paper by Cosmo Cricket. I also dry embossed the paper with an old Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I don't remember the name of it but it has alot of vines and flowers on it. I then ran some Pebbles pastel chalks over the embossed areas to give it color. I also ran my paper doily and tag through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder.

To finish off my card, I added some Prima trim, seam binding ribbon, glitter and some Liquid Pearls in White Opal.

From here you need to go to the super talented and very sweet Heather's Blog for more inspiration :-) I would appreciate a comment if you would like to leave one Smile

Have fun hopping along!!

♥ You're a Jewel! ♥

This week the Shabby Girls got to play with stamps by this week's awesome sponsor, Pink Persimmon! We were all sent these adorable stamp sets called Scottie Dogs and You're a Jewel. The quality rubber is awesome and it leaves a crisp clear image. Not too mention they are so cute!!

♥ Simon Says... Food and/or Drink! ♥

That is this week's fun challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! Food and/or Drink! Make any type of creation with food or drink on it! A cupcake, candy, cup of tea or coffee...etc, etc!

I made a fun invitation type card for a small get together. With everyone emailing and texting these days, it's nice to receive an invite in the mail! I used a beautiful Inkadinkado stamp on this called Wine and Cheese. I colored it in with some Copics and then added a little shimmer to the top of it with some MS Fine White Glitter. For the base of my card, I used some beautiful card stock by Magnolia called Something Old Something New. To finish it off, I added some seam binding, Prima trim, paper doily, Melissa Frances Rub-on transfers and a hand made wine glass charm out of wire, beads and a charm. It can be easily removed from the card by un-tieing the ribbon.

And as always, don't forget,  that the random winner of this challenge will win a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!

And lastly, don't forget that there is still time to enter the Summer Holidays Children Challenge that is running all month long at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! ♥ Shabby Polka Dots... A Tea Cottage ♥

This week I am your Hostess at The Shabby Tea Room and I chose the fun theme of Polka Dots! Just create a card and/or project with Polka Dots on it, enter it into our Polka Dots challenge and you could win a fabulous prize by our lovely sponsor this week, Creations by AR!

I made this adorable little Tea Cottage with the template by the same name by Creations by AR. This was sooo easy and fun to make! This template really is one of the most easiest templates I have ever done. Just imagine making a bunch of them and making a Christmas village! (Which is just what I might do!) Instead of filling it with tea bags, you can fill it with candy or even a battery operated tea light!

I made the chimney out of 2 wooden spools, that I painted and then glued together. I then added some hand made stick pins that I whipped up. The cottage even comes with that adorable little fence. The template comes in a choice of 2 files, SVG or PDF.

The papers I used are also digi and can be found HERE. I also used some Martha Stewart mini paper roses, a Melissa Frances keyhole and rub-on transfer, some string pearls, a punched heart made from Girls Paperie paper and some seam binding, which I also added some polka dots to using a Copic marker.

Here is the cottage filled with tea bags.

As mentioned above, this week's winner will receive 2 fabulous templates of your choice from Creations by AR! The templates there are AMAZING!!

And here is the inspiration photo that I chose for you all~

Don't forget to check out the rest of the AMAZING Shabby Girls too!

Oh, and one last thing, someone recently asked me what type of lighting I use when photographing my cards and stuff. I only use natural lighting. I set up near a door which lets in lots of light and photograph there. Hope that helps!! ;)

Have a wonderful day!!

♥ Simon Says...All White Card with a Colored Image! ♥

Yup! That's this week's challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! An all white card, with just your colored stamped image. Not as easy as you may think, trust me! I definitely struggled with this one! I can't wait to see what you all come up with though! (I'm sure they will be better than mine!)

This week the Simon Says DT got to play with Magnolia stamps. I chose this new Mini Magnolia Stamp called Gift Giving Tilda. It is really for a wedding but I think it is perfect for any special occasion. I colored her in with some Copics and added a touch of Martha Stewart Fine White Glitter. I also used some Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder, seam binding, a Prima white rose and some White Opal Liquid Pearls.

And as always, don't forget, the random winner of this challenge will win a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!

♥ Sending you Warm {Shabby} Thoughts ♥

This week's lovely challenge at The Shabby Tea Room is called Tea for Two! It is to create a card/project with a Tea theme and also to use the inspiration photo's colors of blue and green.

And this week the Shabby Girls got to play with some digi stamps by our regular monthly sponsor, Robyn's Fetish. I chose to use this gorgeous Rose digi on my teacup shaped card. I colored it in with some Copics and then added a little sparkle of glitter to it. (Notice the pretty rose on the table in the inspiration photo below ;) For the teacup card, I just traced a chipboard album twice onto my paper, cut them out, punched a small hole in the top and threaded a piece of twine to hold it together. I then adhered the seam binding bow over it. The papers used are by The Girls Paperie.

This week's challenge winner will win 5 digi images of your choice from Robyn's Fetish!
