AMAZING PAPER GRACE OCTOBER DIE OF THE MONTH BLOG HOP

Have you ever needed to make a card and hunted through your stash and found that you could not find a sentiment with the right word?  Well, look no more!  It was out of that frustration that Becca created a sweet set that will accommodate that exact word you are looking for with One Kind Word Alphabet Collage.

Now you can headline with Sorry, Amazing, Silly, Fierce, Happy, Heaven, Gather, Home, Grow, Friend, Bestie and the list goes on and on.  No need to stick with one word, you can have two - U Rock, Adore U, My Love.

One of the things we share when we share a handmade card, is kindness.  What better way to share that kindness than to put the exact word you mean on the front of the card.  Nothing like getting right to the point! The Alphabet collage is a card in and of itself but the words you can make with the letters that fall out, are priceless.  You can use the 5 x 7 Sentiment Frame or go naked and simply make up your own sentiment.

As soon as I saw this Die Set, I thought of a Teacher card. I guess because of the alphabet dies. But the amazing thing about this Die set is that you can create ANY words or sentiments that  you want. It can be made into a shabby card, or a clean and simple card or anything in between. So FUN!

My Project Today:

I simply die cut the large frame die using some dark blue cardstock and another using white cardstock. I then adhered the white frame behind the blue one slightly off center so the blue would have a white "shadow". I then die cut the letters out using light green, white and red cardstock. I then adhered the white "Thank You" onto a piece of black cardstock and adhered it to the bottom portion of the blue frame. I then added the green ABC letters to a piece of red cardstock and then adhered that to the top portion of the frame. Then the red TEACHER letters to the white banner. I then finished it off with some pearls, red ribbon and ruler ribbon.

INTRODUCING CANDLEWICK SAMPLER | GIVEAWAY

If you're a "Gracelet" or by chance happened by the Amazing Paper Grace website over time, you have no doubt wondered how Becca comes up with her names and inspiration.  Today, we're excited to give a little peek into a new collection and the inspiration.  Join us as we share lovely creations made using Candlewick Sampler

Since the age of 12 Becca has loved fiber - she quilts, knits, crochets, does cross stitch and before becoming a Licensed Die Designer sewed most of her own clothes. Fascinated with intricate textures and the look of laces, fabrics, and embroidery, Becca tried to replicate the look and feel of those textures in dies.  Candlewicking has such a distinct look and Becca thrilled at the prospect of getting that look and feel into a die.  If you've loved her lace look collections or that elegant look of Hemstitch, you'll love Candlewick Sampler.

The Inspiration Behind Candlewick Sampler

Candlewicking is a type of whitework embroidery normally done on cream or white fabric embellished with cream or white french knots.  The series of french knots create the outlines of the pattern giving it a unique look while adding a touch of elegance.  In these dies, you can see rounded motifs that hint at the texture of dots.  Without overpowering, it's a sweet little detail present on all the dies in the collection.  Plus, it just happens to be the perfect spot to place a pearl.  Google candlewicking and you'll see exactly what we mean.

My Project For Today

I'm introducing S5-402 Lace Card Front Etched Dies

Here is what the Die actual looks like.

                   https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/shapeabilities-candlewick-lace-card-front-etched-dies-candlewick-sampler-collection-by-becca-feeken/

For my project today I made a shaped card front using this beautiful Die. It really does look like a piece of lace that has been found up in your grandma's attic. So pretty! I just simply adhered the top of the die cut to the card back and added some pearls and a ribbon. Simple, classic yet elegant.

But it's "NOT" Christmas Blog Hop

Don't you just love a die that does double duty?  We thought so!  Today we're are having a blog hop to show you how the dies in The Charming Christmas Collection can be used year round; after all, it's not Christmas.  No worries, Christmas is coming and we'll press A Charming Christmas back into service this year but in the meantime, please join us for some year-round inspiration and a giveaway at the bottom of the post.

It's Not Christmas but About A Charming Christmas

Becca designed A Charming Christmas with lovely romantic frames and shapes and with charms.  Leave the charms in the package and you have a lovely 'everyday' die that is begging to be used all year round.  Hop around with us as we reintroduce you to the non-Christmas side of A Charming Christmas.

My Projects For Today.

****The die I'm showing today is S5-380 Snowflake Doily Etched Dies.

Shapeabilities Charming Snowflake Doily Etched Dies A Charming Christmas Collection by Becca Feeken

For my card today, I first adhered Adoria Square Etched Dies to the base of my card. I then die cut the large Doily out in cream and light pink cardstock. I also cut out just the outer Doily Die in gold poster board to add behind the cream colored die cut. I then added the pink Doily, off center, over the cream one using some foam dots. I then finished it off with some ribbon, flowers and pearls.

Thank you for having a special look at the versatility of the dies in The Charming Christmas Collection.  As a part of our hop we're giving away an Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month from a previous month - based on availability.

Leave a comment on each blog by May 24th at midnight and on May 25th, Becca will randomly pick and publish the winner.  We encourage all of our international friends to participate!  The randomly selected names will be announced on the Amazing Paper Grace Blog on May 25th.  (All giveaways for this hop are managed by and the responsibility of Amazing Paper Grace).

AMAZING PAPER GRACE MAY DIE OF THE MONTH BLOG HOP

The May APG Die of the Month, Nostalgic Serenade Card Frame Die, is absolutely stunning!! Even the name of the Die is beautiful, don't ya think?! This Die could be used to make so many types of projects!

Here is what the Die looks like~

NOSTALGIC SERENADE CARD FRAME DIE

If you want to find out more about the Club - prices, how you sign up and what's included, please look --------> HERE.
If you missed the introduction and want to know more about what inspired the Die of the Month Club, look ------->HERE.

My First Project Today:

Since it's Mother's Day, I had to make something with my kiddos in it! :) This beautiful Die fits perfectly over a shadowbox, which I made with the APG Shadowbox Frame with 3/4" Border Etched Dies.

This was so fun and easy to make. I cut a piece of acrylic large enough to adhere over the frame and then stamped onto it centering it over the picture. I then added the large Die cut over that and added lots of pearls.

I then hot glued a little wooden stand to the bottom of the frame and added some ribbon. This would make a great Mother's Day gift for sure!

My Second Project~

I made a simple but elegant card with these gorgeous Dies! These are one of those Die Sets that you could use over and over again and make them look so different! The sentiment I used on this card is from the Beautiful Dreamer Stamp and Die Set by Becca. I think, this would make a perfect graduation card!

For this month's Die of the Month, we cut it up and folded it up!  More inspiration is just a click away.  Stop by with each Creative Team Member to see how they manipulated this die to come up with a unique project for you to try!

AMAZING PAPER GRACE FEBRUARY DIE OF THE MONTH BLOG HOP

Are you ready to be inspired?  Every month we love bringing you inspiration for the Die of the Month and today is our Die of the Month Blog Hop for February!!   If you have the die, we'd love for you to be able to make multiple things that perhaps you haven't thought of yet.  Stroll through the list of links at the bottom and maybe, just maybe, your next project is at one of those links!

The Enchantment Tall Flip and Gatefold Card Die Set natively makes into a tall gatefold card or a tent card by way of the unique base.  It is much like the December Die of the Month in that respect, but we wanted to give you a tall version.  Chalked full of extra pieces that include rims and unique inlays, these intricate motifs can be used in any number of ways.  If you do nothing more than to create a frame, there are four corner pieces that will help you do that.   The patterns are so delicate and romantic and we've found them to be a charming change of pace.

If you are new to our blogs, the Die of the Month is an exclusive die Becca designed for Spellbinders - it is called the Enchantment Tall Flip and Gatefold Card Die Set.

This particular set has 9 dies and they can be used to make a gatefold card, a tent card, a background, a slip-in card frame with decorative corners, a basket, a purse . . . and the list goes on, while the individual dies in the set can be used for many things.  As always, there are sweet flowers included!  It's available until February 28th and then we make way for the March Die of the Month!

If you want to find out more about the Club - prices, how you sign up and what's included, please look --------HERE.
If you missed the introduction and want to know more about what inspired the Die of the Month Club, look -------HERE.

My card today:

This Die Set makes such an elegant card. Love the insert design and the corner dies as well. I added some gold poster board behind the Die cuts to give it some shimmer and dimension. The sentiment is by Penny Black.

Next I made a quick and easy candle/jar wrap. This would look so pretty on a table for a wedding, birthday or any occasion really. All I used was the insert Dies along with the small rectangle Die.

As always, each member of the Creative Team spins their interpretation of a die.  To see their makes pop down the list of Creative Team Member to see more!
