♥ You are a Wonderful Friend ♥ TSTR #47

This week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is a fun one! Clare is our host and it is called "Get Creative!" You must make a card/project using just stamping and you have to make your own embellies (no patterned papers or manufactured embellies). Now it's time to get your Mojo flowing!!
I made a card with a pull out tag. I used JustRite's Nested Frame Dies (JB08950) to make the pull out tag. The stamp set used is JustRite's You Inspire Me Cling Set (CL02075). What a beautiful and versatile set!
I also used Bazzill basics Cardstock in 2 different shades of pink and some light green. I made my own embellies which consists of the punched butterflies with pearls and a handmade stick pin to act as my "pull" on the tag. I also did a little hand stitching and added some pink ribbon.

This week's Sponsor at the Tea Room is yup, you guessed it, JustRite! They are offering this week's winner a Fab prize too! JustRite Stamps will be providing our lucky winner a scrumptious prize package containing the Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit and the Fancy Tags Set Cling ... a prize package valued at approximately $53!

♥ Pure Sweetness ♥

Here is a fun card that is perfect for a Valentine, birthday or just because! Isn't that gumball machine that dispenses hearts just the cutest ever?! That image as well as the sentiment is from an adorable Digi Stamp Set called the "Sweetness Collection" and it is by my friend Cheri Wenger. Wait until you see the other adorable stamps included in this set! She has the cutest digi stamps HERE in her shop.
I used some Echo Park papers, pink ribbon, small wooden heart which I painted red and glittered and I did some faux and hand stitching.

~ City Crafter Challenge Blog: "Sew" Fun

I ♥ Winter Snowflakes! ♥TSTR #46♥

This week's challenge at the Shabby Tea Room is called "Winter Wonderland" It is to make a card/project with a winter theme. I decided to make an acrylic snowflake that can be hung around the home to celebrate both winter and Valentine's Day!
I first took 2 pages of an acrylic snowflake album and adhered a piece of Webster's Pages paper to one of them. I then applied some white paint around the edges. I then took the second snowflake and inked the edges white and then applied some clear glue and white glitter over the white inked edges. I then applied some Melissa Frances rub-ons, wooden snowflakes which I also painted white and glittered up and then added some red wooden hearts to the center which I added some ice crystals to and a pearl. I then finished up the snowflake with some more pearls and white seam binding ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
This week's sponsor is Lori Designs Digi Stamps.
The winner of this week's challenge will win a $10 gift certificate to her shop.

♥ A {VERY} Colorful Card Box! ♥ {You'll need UR Sunglasses!!}

My niece Francesca is having her Sweet Sixteen party next weekend and she told me the other night that she is having a hard time trying to find a fun card box that matches her theme or colors. (You know the box that everyone puts their cards in at a party!) Mostly they are just plain white boxes. Their are different shapes like a church for a wedding or an octagon shape. But nothing that fits her theme which is "Candy Land". {I had picked up these adorable Candy ornaments in Target in all different colors to decorate the restaurant with. So cute!} Her colors are rainbow colors...bright orange, hot pink, electric blue, etc. So when she said she needed a card box, of course my mind when into overdrive!! And here is what I came up with!
I took some different shaped and sizes paper mache boxes and I cut out a slit in the front of one and also the bottom of that box. I then cut out the center of the top of the large box, so that when the cards are inserted into the slot, they fall into the larger box.
I then covered the boxes with some bright orange and pink kraft wrapping paper. Added some rolled tissue papers, flowers, hems and a wooden "F" which I smothered with bright green glitter.
After the party this will look cute sitting in the corner of her bright pink room! I hope she likes it!!

If anyone is interested in purchasing one of these in any color scheme or theme, please shoot me an email! (in my sidebar)

I will be back tomorrow with the winner of my giveaway! Thank you very much for all your Birthday wishes! I had fun yesterday turning 29!! {again} hehe Actually, add 10 years to that! Next year, the BIG 40!! Ugh!

Have a great night!!

♥ Love is in the Air! ♥

You can just feel it...all the crafters blogs are full of love creations...stores are selling there Valentines merchandise...the warmth of winter...the love between parent and child. (Well that is all year long!) But LOVE is definitely in the air!

Of course, I am in LOVE crafting mode lately too! All the pretty pinks, reds and whites. But I decided to go a different color route for this one! I ♥ this new line by Graphic 45. Once Upon a Springtime. It just screams romance!
I used 2 different papers, a die-cut frame and the Souvenir post card is all from the line. I also used a Melissa Frances rub-on, satin ribbon, Prima flower, punched Martha Stewart butterflies and heart, pearls and some Webster's Pages trim.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

~ Creatalicious Challenges: Challenge #18, Ribbon
~ "Just us Girls" Challenge: Color challenge #67, Aqua, Coral, Green

A Local Police Officer was just killed in the next town over from us on Friday night. Such a shame. So young. Only 27, newly engaged. Very sad! But very happy to report that his ruthless killer was just caught a few hours ago! I hope justice will be served to the fullest degree! My brother-in-law is a Memphis Cop. Actually a Lieutenant. So my heart sinks when I hear of a police officer being killed. My ♥ goes out to his fiance' and family. RIP Officer Christopher Matlosz.

Have a wonderful and blessed day! Hug your loved ones!

♥ Sweets for my Sweet ♥

Hi everyone! I'm here with just a quickie post today! We are getting ready for another foot of snow coming our way! woo-hoo! I ♥ Snow!!
Here is a quick and easy way to give a little treat to your sweetie on Valentine's Day! These plastic tubes can be found at most craft stores, usually in the wedding section. You can also purchase them HERE at Papertry Ink. Just hot glue a valentine heart pick to the front of the tube. Then glue on a bow and then add a handmade tag, stickers, paper flowers, hearts, etc. Add trim or ribbon to the top of the tube and then fill with candy! A fun and pretty way to give a little something!

I am also entering these into the Flourishes, The Colors of Love challenge. It is to use pink, white and red in your card/project. And the Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog. It is to use circles on your card/project.

Have a great day! Stay warm!!
