♥ The Shabby Tea Room Guest Designer ♥

Happy Monday everyone! (ugh!) Well, there is one thing that is sure to make you smile! This week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room! It's called Rainbows and Raindrops! It is to create a card/project based on this sweet inspiration photo! And I am lucky enough to be Guest Designing there this week. :)

Here is my card based on the inspiration photo. I used the Rainbow Die by Paper Smooches along with different colors of cardstock to match the colors in the photo. The Chevron Cloud Die is an exclusive by Simon Says Stamp as well as the little hearts which are from the Heart Rainfall Die Set.

The woodgrain paper is from the Base Coat III Pack by Kaiser and the cream colored paper is by Marion Smith Designs, Nirvana. The sentiment is from the New Beginnings Clear Stamp Set by My Favorite Things. I finished up the card with some seam binding ribbon and a sparkly gem.

I hope to see you playing along this week at The Shabby Tea Room! :) A big thank you to Debbie and the Shabby Girls for having me back this week!

I used some papers from the So Noted paper pad by Carta Bella. (I still can't get enough of these pretty papers!) I used some Heidi Swapp Chipboard pieces which I made some "balloons" out of the hearts and twine.

I finished it off with some pearls, vintage lace, flowers and paper doily.

Hope you have a happy, safe and fun Memorial Day! ;)

♥ So Very Sweet ♥

I hope you all are having a very sweet Thursday! What a beautiful day it is here! Feels like Summer! Defintely put me in the mood to create a card using some bright and cheery colors!

I made my card using the current color challenge at The Play Date Cafe. Love this color scheme and what a fabulous inspiration photo! And make sure you check out who there awesome Guest and Sponsor is this week!  What a talented and special young man!!

I used some new papers by Echo Park as well as a lace applique, some seam binding, flowers and a stick pin pennant.

I was also inspired by this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room. It is to create a card using the same colors as well as a pennant, flag or banner. I just couldn't resist this sweet inspiration photo! It feels funny to be playing along as a participant and not on the DT!! :)

I hope you all have a fabulous nighty night!

♥ Shabby Colorful Confections ♥

Pastel colors....sweets...shabby...fun. That is the theme of this week's Shabby Tea Room...Colorful Confections! Just look at this 'sweet' inspiration photo! yummy. Just make any type creation using the colors aqua, pink, green and neutrals and you must also include a tag. It doesn't have to have a sweet confection on it, only if you want to! :)

I made a fun, little card with a wrapped lollipop on it. I just punched out a scalloped circle from some cardstock, added some swirls with a white opaque marker and then added some chunky pink glitter to it. I then hot glued a stick to the back and wrapped a piece of plastic around it, tying it with a bow and then adding my tag.

The papers are by Fancy Pants Designs, ticket by My Mind's Eye, trim by Prima. I also used some Liquid Pearls and a button.

The winner of this week's challenge will win 5 digi stamps of their choice from our lovely sponsor, Robyn's Fetish!

Don't forget to leave some love for the other Shabby Girls too! ;)

♥ Shabby Little Bear ♥

Happy President's Day! Hopefully you all are home from work/school relaxing and crafting! I had a busy weekend remodeling our downstairs laundry room. FUN! Well not the painting part of it. But the decorating part was! I will have pics shortly. I went with a vintage theme, of course! Oh, and I can't wait to show you all an awesome thing that I won on Friday on Ebay! An old Vintage Victorian Singer Sewing Machine in a beautiful wood cabinet! For only $27.36!! It happened to be Pick Up only and they were only 20 minutes from me. So I scored big time after a small bidding fight!! hehe Just love it! But Ebay can be addicting! Do you all have any Ebay stories??

This week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room is called "High Tea". But your card does not have to have a tea cup or tea pot on it. We just want you to use the colors from the inspiration photo below and use a doily! Easy peasy!

This week the Shabby Girls are using some adorable digi images from our sponsor, The Stamp Fairy. I chose this adorable teddy from the Barry Peekers Collection and sentiment from the Sentiments Love Collection.

I also used some of my hand dyed seam binding ribbon, handmade paper rose, Prima trim, Liquid Pearls, and papers by My Mind's Eye and The Girls Paperie.

The winner of this week's challenge will win a $10 gift certificate to the Stamp Fairy store!

Don't forget to leave some love for the other Shabby Girls too! ;)

♥ {Shabby} Candy Hearts ♥

Happy Monday everyone! This week I am your Hostess at The Shabby Tea Room. I chose the theme of "Candy Hearts". It is to create a card and/or project with a food theme and it must include a heart. You can use chocolate images, candy hearts, fruit, popcorn, coffee, tea, etc, etc. You don't have to use the colors from the inspiration photo if you don't want to, just the food and heart theme.

This week the Shabby Girls got use some more fabulous digi images from Robyn's Fetish. I chose the "I Heart U" image, which I enlarged in a photo editing software program, to make my actual card base from it. I printed the image out 3 times. First onto some Crafty Secrets red polka dot paper twice and then once onto some pink heart damask paper (both are from the Creating with Vintage Patterns CD #1). I then cut the 2 red hearts out and the center pink heart out of the third. I then adhered the pink heart onto the center of 1 of the red hearts. To attach the 2 together to form a card, I simply glued a piece of pink gingham to the inside of the 1st heart and then to the back of the 2nd heart. I printed the sentiment onto white cardstock and then colored it with some pink pastel chalk and then added chunky glitter.

I also used a vintage French Chocolate label from The Graphics Fairy, a heart made from chocolate shavings (found online), a handmade stick pin, my handmade crinkly cabbage rose ribbon (seam binding) and some little pink roses that I made with 2 $1 punches that took me literally minutes. I will have the tutorial on how to make your own little paper roses up soon.

The winner of this week's challenge will win 5 digi images of their choice to the Robyn's Fetish store!
