Tomorrow is the Fourth of July here in the U.S. Time for us to celebrate our Independence. But everyone can join in on the party, because this week's challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is Patriotic! The challenge is to make something that represents your Country, Flag colors or a National Symbol.
This week the Simon Says DT are showcasing products by My Favorite Things. You don't have to use them on your creation, but if you have them, we would love to see them! I chose a few of their amazing dies to use on my card. I used the Stacking Stars, Mini Wavy Pennants and the Polka Dot Greetings Die-Namics dies.
I also used the MFT Firecracker Clear Stamp Set as well. (I just used one of the sentiments from the set though) The papers are from the Farmhouse Paper Company's Country Kitchen 6x6 Paper Pad. Love the papers in this pad! I finished it off with some White Opal Liquid Pearls and some Little B Skinny Washi Tape in Gingham Red.
And don't forget, the super sweet and generous Heidi will give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!
And finally, the lucky random winner of my "Cards for Maddy" Giveaway is.... (I can't for the life of me, figure out how to post the Random Generator on my blog!)
.....#6 Mary H. Congrats Mary! Please shoot me an email with your Snail Mail Addy and I will get the Spellbinders Dies right out to you!
Have a sweet day!

Love the stars and the plaid, Melissa - reminds me of Scotland!
such a fun card. I love all those layered die cuts.
Wonderful card Melissa! Such great elements - the Liquid Pearls add a lot even though it's a 'small' portion of your card :) Awesome!!!
Hi Melissa - a friend sent me a msg to be sure to check your blog...& then I saw my name. Whoo-Hoo! I am traveling & can't get to my email program to send you the info...I'm using a webmail program, which won't open your email link. I should be home around July 11, so if it's ok, then I shall email the info. I'm thrilled to win! I was just happy to do a card for Maddy, and I think some of the followers at my blog did some for her as well. I hope things are improving greatly for this courageous young lady.
Also, I loved your patriotic card. That burst of mustard/brown really popped out your patriotic colors. Inspiration to use that together with the r/w/b. Great layout as well. Thanks for sponsoring the challenge & giving me a chance to have a delightful new die. Plus something even better: perhaps cheer someone else! Hugs & Happy 4th of July.
Oh this is fabulous, love how you layered the stars.
