omgosh, you are such a sweetheart!! I would love to do some stitching on my cards.. and even maybe have a bit of go making some other things!! I don't own a sewing machine, my mother asked if I wanted one waaayy back when I turned 21... of course I thought she was joking! Why would I want to mend my own clothes when she could do it? lol! Oh, I love to sew on my cards. I just don't always have the time - lol. Or "my little company" - my 1 year old - wants to sit on my lap while making a card, so I skip the sewing. I just feel they look more vintage-y when using thread.

I have never tried sewing on cards (or any paper), but I love the look. I did buy a cheap hand held machine, took one look at it out of the box and returned it the next day. Love the look of sewing on layouts and cards. I've been sewing since I was about 9 thanks to my grandmother and still have my miniature Singer Sewing Machine. (It's metal not plastic like the ones they have out now). I sew almost everyday.

I have just found your site, I have not sewn my cards in the past but have been thinking of doing this as it seems to be the trend now, I have sewn for many years and recently my sewing machine decided to pack up I bought it in 1980 so its had a long life. I don't have a proper sewing machine, just a little handheld one and that one is to no good!! So, for now I stick to a pen :)

I do love stitching on my cards and the odd layout that I make but my sewing machine is about 40 years old, very heavy metal casing and I struggle to get it onto my craft table so I have to be in the right mood to sew with it !!! I love the effect that sewing gives to a card or layout though.

I sew on cards, I like to put boarders around the stamped image which looks awesome but my sewing machine is getting very old. I've also hand sewn on cards. I don't have a blog yet but this evening I met up with two ladies which I took classes with and they said that I just have to starta blog to display my cards so I will be doing that in the next few days. I will be giving my cardmaking friends your blog address by email and when I talk to them.
