♥ Crafty Secrets DT Challenge and February Linky Party! ♥

Happy Monday everyone! It is the 1st Monday of the month, so that means it's time for a new DT challenge for the Crafty Secrets girls and also a fun Linky Party for all of you!! Just create a card or whatever you like using some Crafty Secrets products, link it at the Feb. Linky Party post on the Heartwarming Vintage Blog and you have a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Crafty Vintage Girl Store! And just for entering, you will automatically get a $5 G/C for free!!

This month the Crafty Secrets girls were challenged to make some things with a Love theme. I ♥ this challenge! I decided I wanted to make something using a Mason Jar. I love mason jars, so I thought why not turn one into a candle! I used some absolutely stunning digi papers by Crafty Secrets from the Radiant Paper Collection. (I adore that beautiful rose paper!! I could use it on every card! :) I just simply cut a strip of paper to fit inside of the jar and marked where the center was on it along with the center of the jar. I then punched a heart "window" in the paper and then reinserted inside of the jar. This way, you can see the Battery Operated Candle when lit.

I found these really cute Mason Jar Lids that come with a pre-drilled hole in the top, so you can insert a straw or soap dispenser through it. So I inserted a vintage straw in it to make my Candle Jar look a little whimsy! The beautiful Rose is from the Vintage Valentine Digital Kit. I hand cut it out and just adhered it to the front of the jar. And the "Heartfelt Wishes" is from the Heart to Heart Digital Art Stamps Set.

These would also make a great Table Marker and Candle for a Wedding! Just add the Table # inside of a Heart to the top of the straw!

I also made a Valentine Candy Tube using the Vintage Valentine Digital Kit. This kit is filled with so many adorably sweet things!!

Lastly, I made this card using once again the Radiant Paper Collection as well as a Free Valentine Printable (see a few posts below the Linky Party post on the CS Blog) and the sentiment is from the Be My Valentine Digital Art Stamp Set.

Now that you've seen my DT creations, now you must check out the amazingly gorgeous creations from my Super Talented Teamies!! Oh, and don't forget to join the Linky Party too!! ;)

♥ Simon Says...Use Washi Tape! ♥

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's time for a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! This time we want you to use Washi Tape on your cards! Washi Tapes can be used in so many different ways. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

I punched some Washi tape covered hearts out and made a small banner for my card. To make it, just add strips of Washi to a piece of cardstock and then run it through your die cutter or use a punch. Easy Peasy!

For my card, I used some pretty Washi tapes by Freckled Fawn called Rose, Mint Chevron and Love Graph. The aqua polka dot tape is by Doodlebug and is called Swimming Pool. The Tape Measure "ribbon" is also Washi Tape too. I used one called "Tape Measure" but it is currently out of stock but there is another one that is similar by Freckled Fawn called "Small Tape Measure".

The sweet papers I used are by Bella Carta from the Devoted 6x6 Paper Pad. And the beautiful stamp set I used is an Exclusive by Simon Says Stamp called Just a Love Note! And finally, I also used some Doodlebug Heart Pearls, Twine and Liquid Pearls.

And don't forget, Heidi will generously give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!

And finally, I don't want you to think I forgot about my Birthday Giveaway! I will have it up shortly! Just ran into a time crunch and haven't had the time to post it yet! :(

Have a wonderful day!
